the northerners are extremist. who sees non Muslim as outcast, they don't want to mixes up or accept full colonial stay of government. can you imagine after over 50 years of independence part of the country is still seeking for independence, and the country almost burnt down over jihab girl in law school and as we speak there is a constitution amendment going on for that when we have more pressing issues.

the north was not viable and it was already to late to close down the government, so he decide to marge them for better governing administration.

Those who made their country work by turning diversity into strenght are those who share a common value system they could build on after colonisation.

Not those who have been fighting and killing each other before the white man came, and killed each other even more, after the white man left
