I am not sure you will be able to rea and write or be using the internet if the western culture and religion wasn't accepted. Have a broad thinking and see things differently!

u should read ur history book or try Google... read about the father of algbera and algorithm ... civilization did not start from the west and mind you, we are jst mentally lazy here that y our identity and traditional religion is long long... India was also colonize , hong Kong and all , yet they have their local dialect as part of their official language, and they Still worship their Gods accordingly.... we are still backward cos we are mentally lazy , no civilization can change that...

and the guy talks about spending cash whilst some of the nude girls go on their knees and some touch their boobs and some are bent over....have a good sense of judgement regardless your views or moral standing.
the man is enamoured by the beauty of the woman and her ways. He wants her to appreciate him and give him a chance, but apparently, she isn't as easy as he would wish.

Hence, he is begging for her attention via any means, but she refuses to 'put him in her diary' even as he wants to 'date' her

This is a story of a woman of pride, not one of easy virtue. Remove your moral glasses and understand a message for once

you were nude due to poverty and not because of some culture! Prosperity translates into civilization the reason for people being clad now.

Nahhh, you were nude because nature required that.

You wearing a black suit in hot weather is actually madness, but societal acceptance of western culture makes it look sane.

"Skimping" clothing is what African weather requires.

It is somehow strange when you exhibit Pan-Africanism one moment and the next you go totally contrary to what you claim you represent.

Melanine, though symbolises the deep dark African skin and pride, but then again, how nudity comes in becomes a wonder.

Perhaps Clarence didn't understand the meaning of the word, perhaps the so-called singer didn't as well. The truth is that Clarence missed this one. It would have made a whole lot of sense to have those ladies clad and modest, which would have reflected the one-time African dignity we held in high esteem rather than set them beside a sea shore like slaves that had been bought.

Videos like this one would make you question your own intellect at some point. 'Melanine' is our pride, and it is not associated with nudity in any way.

Clarence goofed.

I blame nothing but the women who allowed their body to be on display like that. That's what the real feminism should be all about, dignity of women. If nudity has been an African thing long ago why didn't our beauty pageants of then wear revealing clothes or stayed naked?

I've seen this video ...

Before you read this comment let me warn you I'm in my early 30s and listen to a lot of 90s hard core rap .

I don't have anything against these sauti Sol dudes . However I no longer seem to be able to watch all the music channels on dstv or elsewhere because I seem to see more ass than music these days ...now don't get me wrong I love ass way more than you .

But it's becoming annoying as it appears that the less talent an artiste has the more ass he has to put in a video . Not saying sauti Sol doesn't have talent they do immensely .

From muscle memory I have my hand trained to press 322 for MTV ...most days I can only hope and pray that I see a music video that has something different from the rest of the ass parade . From MTV to sound city it is all the same . The video tend to be the same and it puts me off from listening to the music .

I don't care if the govt bans it or not that's not my business all I'm saying is can't these artistes do something different than portraying ass in their videos

I would like to see something different from an African artiste every now then ...visually .

So, you did not see Aye, you did not see Africa, you did not see Come Make We Go, you did not see Iyawo Mi, you did not see Pakurumo, My Darling, Joromi, Nnekata, Ada Ada, Wait For Me, Fia.....

This must be the first time you are watching an African music video

funny how you think Africans are some modest people who are always covered when in fact, the idea of wearing clothes was introduced by Westerners

Many African tribes still embrace nuditu till today, case in pont, the Zulu people. So, I don't understand how you assume Africa is a land of anything that has nothing to do with nudity

Do not confuse the teachings of Western religion as African tradition, nudity is not alien to African tradition at all, it has never been

Nobody was all covered up under the heat of sub-saharan Africa

Safarigirl. Maybe you are right... But why are the guys fully dressed and always the Ladies exposing and shaking butts and boobs? Is that what men have reduced women into? The feminism fight should be about that.

people are very biased theses dayz... I was born in the 80s too and I can tell u that the wey many artiste then too that sang about material wealth and objectified ladies... it didn't start today, only that there are more artistes cos resource and modernisation made it easier to record songs

you shy away from the almost sex scenes in these videos. Makes your debate unintelligent. No one is saying women shouldn't be appreciated via music. Women "objectifying" themselves as sex slaves is the problem here.

which guys are fully dressed? The one on dreads is the Flavour of Sauti Sol, that guy is never fully dressed and same applied to this video, abi you didn't see his chest?

The guy with the last verse has his shirt opened halfway at least, with nothing underneath.

The feminine body is a marvel to many

Thank you for the reminder. So when next we get nude for poverty reasons like Beyonce & co, plz don't use heritage and cultural blabbings to dispel that . . .

Very correct and on point... Clarence and Co goofed Big Time... Good inspiring lyrics but an inappropriate video to back it up... Perhaps they expect shooting d semi clad ladies in the video would make it sell... Which it is doing anyway...or perhaps they wanted to show the real melanin skin colour well... Hence the semi clad ladies... The mind of the youth these days is set all around making the money... The lyrics hold no meaning to both Sauti sol or patorankin.... It's just another avenue to make money... That's all. Personally I never tune my TV to any music channel... I prefer sound only to videos...
