Some loud Igbos I see daily on NL are a disgrace to me. These set of igbos carry hatred everywhere and their opinion is seen as that of the vast majority, while in reality it isn't so.

What concerns Igbo and this thread now? why can't we just appreciate development for once? one immediately went and started posting pictures of poor areas in Kano, another made a bogus claim that the developed part is not up to 3%, others brought Biafra into it...I'm really ashamed of you lots!

I'm Igbo and I have visited Kano, at first I always took the north to be one backward region, although they have their flaws, I was impressed with what I saw and it changed my impression about the North. I'm also happy with the developmental projects I see here, I must commend the efforts of the state government.

Igbos here should stop making mockery of us, stop the hate and keep your emotions aside, Northerners are not all savages like you think, there are really nice and accommodating ones.

Fair enough, but Northerners are most certainly NOT accommodating, so stop writing that.

What does that have to do with being accommodating, is Nigeria not a country? Igbo people that travel to other parts of Nigeria are simply exercising their rights as citizens of Nigeria, nothing more. Their achievements are their own, not yours. If an Igbo man goes to Kano for example, and makes a lot of money, that achievement is due to HIS hard work and not the accommodating nature of those around them.

Accommodating people don't issue quite notices to their own citizens and threaten to murder them and steal their businesses, simply for honouring their dead during the Nigerian-Biafra war. Accommodating people don't carry out pogroms on non-indigenous people in their lands, and accommodating people don't impose their culture on others.

Northerners live in the East, in Anambra for example, and they're allowed to follow their faith without molestation, compare that to the number of churches burnt down in the North, in the past decade, or the imposition of Sharia law on non-Muslims.

LOL! If we weren't so accommodating they wouldn't want to be here in the first place. They will not be successful given that we patronize their businesses. Their rights as Nigerians doesn't mean that if we were unaccomodating we can't make the north inhabitable for them.

You're a Northerner I'm assuming, so I'm also going to assume you know very little about business.

All these Igbo people are doing, is filling voids, Northern markets are virtually non-existent due to minimal private sector presence in the region. So Igbo people move in, and sell essentials...you know what that means, right?

Anyone could make money in the North, all it requires is an education, capital and the work ethic. Igbo people remain in the North because they make a ton of money there, not because the people are accommodating.

I honestly do not think you even know what the word means.

For example, an accommodating gesture would be, when Obiano set up a commission for conflicts between Fulani Herdsman and Igbo people, in his state. Compensating both parties when property and/or live stock are harmed.

Give me an example of such gestures in the North.

It is easier to own property, be accepted into a northern or south western society as a stranger than that of the south east. The most hostile place I have been to is in the east.

What point are you making? That, because Dangote has a lot of money that, what? Northern Nigerians are good at business? Does that make sense to you? The tallest man in the world is Chinese, does that mean Chinese people are generally tall?

Dangote is the EXCEPTION, Northerners are not business-minded people, is that an insult to you?

In your previous post you said the East was the most hostile, now you're saying nothing happened to you while you were there. Which is it, were the people hostile or not? What did they do to you, to give you that impression?

I'm not surprised you'd feel much safer in the North and the South-West, you guys have massacred so many innocent Easterners that the thought must reign on your mind while in the East.

It's like how, some white people feel uneasy when around black people; it's the thought of all the bad things white people have done to black people, and the feeling that you (as a black person), may in some way retaliate.

Go and look at Forbes Africa list. Tell me how many igbo men are there and how many northerners are there.

Go to kano and see how many business men are thriving. Just because we are not empty chest beating monkeys does not mean we are not business minded. With the rate at which you conduct business your success rate is nothing to write home about.

You savages always mistake perceptions with fact. You're so full of yourselves when in fact you lot are nothing.

Again, the fact that we allow you to live here and thrive even with your clearly toxic personalities says a lot. Not a lot of people can let such poisonous people prosper in their land.

What does what you wrote have anything to do with the question I asked or the discussion we were having?

Igbo people are vastly superior business people to Northerners and any other ethnic group in Nigeria, that's not in doubt or up for discussion, even foreigners will confirm that.

Forbes billionaires list, most of the wealthiest Northerners got to their positions through corruption; and Dangote got to his position thanks to Obasanjo.

Show us the products you Northerners make, your computer companies, mobile phone companies, food companies, clothing companies etc... Northerners don't make anything, now you've made me laugh lol, just answer my question.

As far as the North goes, we know it's home to one of the poorest demographics on earth. Borno State has a 80% poverty rate, Northern Nigeria is home to more children out of school than anywhere else on the planet. Northern Nigeria harbours two of the deadliest terrorist groups on the planet, with a ridiculously low literacy rate, especially for women, which labours around the 30% mark, that means up to 70% of Northern women can't read, write or speak intelligibly in English.

You people don't allow us to do anything, the Nigerian Constitution allows us to live and work in the dusty North.

And I am something, at least to me, maybe not to you, which would explain your peoples penchant for killing of non-Northerners.

This is a lazy stereotype. To begin with, a majority of the big-time businessmen in Kano are of Hausas ethnicity the same way a majority of big-time businessmen in Onitsha are Igbos or those in Ibadan are Yorubas. it is natural for people from a particular locality to dominate the economic activities of such locality

Igbos and all immigrant world over always move to a better society where there are opportunities not available in their old location or homeland, that explain the reasons behind Igbo migration to Kano state, it means Kano is doing well economically, it means Kano has the opportunities not available in their homeland or previous location. All these points to a prosperous kano, with a very healthy economic and very accommodative native, that warmly welcome economic refuge from the east.

You are not doing any Kano native a favor by moving your retailing outlet to their region, in fact, you are systematically stealing from them and repatriating such back home to build your mansion in your village, income that you didn't pay a kobo in tax for. You can easily be replaced by the indigenous population because buying and selling is not rocket science

You have a lot more active business men because admittedly you're more educated and are business minded but that does not make you superior business men, that's called selection bias.

What do northerners make? Again another evidence of staying in one village in aba all your life. Go to any market in kano, any shoe or bag or leather products. Ask where it is made. Im using leather products because theyre more obvious. Again just because we are not bragging about these things all over the place doesn't mean we dont.

The only problem the north has right now is education and it solves all the issues you mentioned. Yet somehow with all your education you have managed to be the most hated people in the world, because in general you're so repulsive but always trying to over sell your "accomplishments". Every bad thing Nigerians are hated for stems from your wretched kind. So much so that I never tell anyone in any country that I'm Nigerian in fear of being associated with you unholy lot. Again all of this is with your so called "education".

What's the cause of this? Its in your DNA small fry. You're natural savages who will still be in forest if it weren't for the Brits. You singlehandedly ruined Nigeria's political landscape in 1966 and every bad thing that has happened in our political sphere hails from that'. You're made of bile envy and hatred and is evident in your testosterone fuelled jumpy loud activities. You are boastful ungrateful and cocky yet your stupidity knows no bounds.

I am confident education can cure the north of it's ills, but nothing can cure you because you're cursed. Stuck in barren land with unproductive self hating good for nothing scoundrels running all over the place.

Igbo people moving to Kano is NOT immigration, Igbo people are not immigrants in Kano. They are NATIVES OF NIGERIA.

Are you being serious right now?

Stealing money from where and repatriating...really, come on, you must be joking.

If you don't like that, then campaign for Biafra or something, but as long as Nigeria remains a single entity, the people that live within it will forever have the right to live wherever within its borders.

A Northerner moving to Onitsha is NOT an immigrant nor would they be stealing any wealth, if they used the money they made there to build a home in Kano, because it's the same country! Likewise for a Igbo person in Kano.

The whole premise of your argument is flawed.

What's that? Northern logic? LMAO! So because we're more educated that means we have more business people. Do you need an education to go into business? Are Yoruba people not educated? Yes, do they establish businesses as the same rate as Igbo people? No.

The educational level of a group, nation or people has very little to do with their propensity to establish a business; it's more cultural than anything else.

Yes, I know, they make or made textiles; well at least you guys have clothes to wear.

No one hates us, I don't know if you're aware of this (because of your obvious low reading level), but Nigeria and the perception of Nigeria has been shaped primarily by Northerners. The perception of a people, is typically shaped by their country, and the perception of a country is shaped by its leaders. Northerners have led Nigeria the longest, and they're the ones that imparted corruption, political assassinations, and various other vices on the rest of us.

It's comical to say the least, you infer that we're more corrupt than you guys, despite the fact that you guys have received far more money over the past several decades, from government coffers, and more government favouritism and patriotism...in short, the North is the most corrupt part of the country, and it is what makes Nigeria as a whole look hopeless.

We're made of hatred, yet, you're the ones that kill us - what's that, more Northern logic.

If you despise us so much, then campaign for Biafra, stop suffering from cognitive dissonance.

It'll take you guys at least 100 years, to get where Igbo people are today.

Most wealthy people in Nigeria are Igbo, most Northerners are poor; wealthy Northerners are rare, that is the reality.

Igbo people like money just as much as anyone else. Igbo culture is achievement originated, that's why Igbo people work so hard to fulfil laid out goals; money is simply the reward.

An average Igbo man is a petty trader, an average Northerner and Yoruba man is a beggar; which is better?

I don't know, go to Anambra (where I'm from), there are tons of indigenous company owners there.

Multinationals...you can count on one hand the number of Nigerian multinationals that exist. In most cases, government concessions are required for a company to reach such levels, Igbo people have been kept out of the throes of leadership for 50 years now. Despite that, we still have many large companies that are thriving, despite government harassment *cough *cough Innoson.

Yes, but Igbo people own mobile phone companies, car companies, food companies and the like. We not solely traders...so stop lying to yourself.

Dishonest about what exactly?

That Nigeria is a country? Is Nigeria not a country? Do I need to thank you, every time a Igbo person travels to Kano and back without being murdered? Doesn't the insinuation offend you?

As I said before, accommodation implies some form of action, a concession for example. I don't see that, all I see is random acts of violence, markets being burnt down, people being threatened with death, etc...

An uneducated person does not understand demand and supply. His motivations are different. I also mentioned how business is part of your culture (business minded) so that plays in on the number of business men you have not overall success. You people can't see past your big noses can you?

Speaking of clothes. Lol! A hundred years ago these great business men were n aked! Count textile out there's leather, stationary and multiple other products.

I speak not of corruption but of you deposing a government Nigeria will never seen better than. Whatever happened after that i completely blame on you.

Do you really think we spend our time even thinking about you? Have you ever heard any northern politician or personality say anything about you except as a response to your antics. We really don't think about you at all like literally. But look at how this uneducated region has managed to tie up your "educated" people and imagine if this group were educated.

You keep kicking but we don't kick back because we really think you inert. Like toothless bulldogs.

How can people you claimed to have a lower educational attainment rate than yours or your ethnic group be in a position to shaping the public perception of your country to hate a supposed more educated and superior group?

The North is bigger, it has more people than easterner Nigeria normally they should have more allocation than the east because they have more challenges due to their size, it is logical if they received more revenue than southeastern states.
With respect to corruption, we can't really say that one ethnic group is more corrupt than others because majority of Nigerians politicians are corrupt irrespective of religion or ethnicity

I prefer empirical evidence of your patterns and preferences rather than singling out acts. Again the fact that your brothers settle and thrive here is proof of the condusive atmosphere the north provides for your businesses.

My friend, I have been to almost all part Anambra state and I can't see these big companies that you are talking about. Anambra is a very small state that can be fitted comfortably into Kano Municipal or Ibadan city, so, how can you compare such state with a state like Kano state that is 3 times bigger in land mass and population?

An average Yoruba man is an artisan (carpenter, auto mechanics, bricklayer), and an average Hausa man is a farmer, honest laborer, bricklayer, trader etc which is better?

That explains why the internally generated revenue of Kano state is bigger than that of Anambra state

Well me nose is quite long, so you might have a point there. That said, I don't recall you writing that, but if that's what you're saying, fair enough.

Yep, and 2,000 years ago, English people slept in trees, yet, we all speak English today...what's your point? My point is, life is lived in the present and I'm most certainly proud of my ancestors; so you're disparagement of them is simply an indictment on you. A weak attempt at drawing self esteem from things that no longer matter.

You're knowledge of Nigeria's history is quite sketchy. Nigeria's first government was corrupt, immensely corrupt; moreover, Nigeria's problems have very little to do with that single coup. It had more to do with what happened after it. The counter coup, the pogroms, the civil war...all of which were unnecessary, but were carried out anyway, because of what...a blood lust, but you guys failed, because Igbo people have recovered and surpassed you.

Yep, I'm 100% certain you guys think about us, a great deal actually. That Igbo Quite Notice was quite concise, it at the very least, required deep venomous thought to put together.

How have you "tied" us up? Nigeria is a democracy, a somewhat flawed system of governance because it's based on majority rule. Northerners, despite their lack of education and refinement, just happen to be the majority; to the detriment of us all.

When was the last time Igbo people attacked Northerners? Again, I think you have your information mixed up. It's you guys that attack us. Wasn't it Buhari that sent soldiers to Igbo land, to murder people? You guys don't think about us...give me a break.
