From what I just read, the op knows nothing about politics, power, decision making and even how to stand up for himself. It only proves that should someone threaten you today, you would give in. Pure a d simple. Yes, the US threatened all nations of the world, so what you as the leader of a country would certainly have done is to raise a white flag and do as you are told simply because you are afraid of losing friendship with such body? Man, you just proved one point : never should you be given a portfolio either in politics or organization. Guy, I dey wonder how you go manage your house o. Think am na, robbers enter your house, pint gun for your head and ask where your wife and daughters dey. E mean say you go tell them so that dem fit rape your wife and kids just to spare your life. Best a Man!! |

yazach:I think he should refer to 4 points 1. When Obama and Cameron said they would withdraw aids unless we recognise same sex marriage, everyone said we were a sovereign nation What has changed? 2. Israel is not a saint https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lavon_Affair 3. Israel in not even a friend to Christians https://www.haaretz.com/israel-news/.premium-1.823740 http://www.jpost.com/Israel-News/Swedish-daughter-of-Holocaust-survivor-faces-deportation-from-Israel-514734 4 Even some Israelis recognise the injustice of their government https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NCIleEnBP6M |

Mrnairalandd:You are just too much! Allow my boss to sleep with my wife because he pays my wages? Keep quiet or neutral against UNResolution because a powerful country demands so? #IStandWithUNResolutions The same idiots supporting USA will on other issues not involving Israel, demand respect. For UN resolutions and human rights declaration. Religious bigots! Painfully, this issue is not religious but justice : West Jerusalem for Israel East Jerusalem for Palestine.Majority of inhabitants of East Jerusalem, are Palestinians!! |

sureheaven:128 countries muslim? You guys have a disdain for truth BeijinDossier:How many times will you guys accuse him of destroying Nigeria. Even he goes to t he gents, you will accuse him When Jonathan stood up to UK and US to sign the same- sex prohibition act, he did not destroy Nigeria. Did he Emyogalanya:Paelstine and SADR were never part of Israel and Morocco respectively If you oppose Palestine, the case for Biafra is totally gone cstr1001:So because of oil, the importance of which is even declining, we might as well be asked to merge with another country |

Mrnairalandd:thank you for this wonderful reply. Some of these dingbats in this country are annoying and embarrassing. Look at watery reasons the dunderhead gave. They should tell us to adopt same-sex marriage too since US has done that. As if other countries that voted against the US did that because of religion. The same US that refused to sell arms to us, saw what we were able to do with we what we have in prosecuting the war, they want to be part of the story and victory cos they always feel there shouldn't be a victory without them, they now made a u-turn and are now saying they'd sell arm to us. What happened to leahy law overnight, I don't know. US is not more important than the 128 countries that voted. Even the traditional neutral country like Switzerland voted against US on this. The OP didn't tell us about this. What becomes of the dollar if the 128 countries decide to trade in another currency? US is not bigger than all of us. |

Mrnairalandd:Out of anger you have said your mind Your comment for make sense if only NIGERIA can produce and solve almost all her problems by herself Why will the president involve himself in what he is almost not concerned with. Have he solved the problem in his own country. He could have stand a neutral ground on this but hell no, he is the stubborn type. |

THE QUESTION IS "WHAT DO WE STAND TO LOSE OR GAIN" IF WE VOTED FOR OR AGAINST? I THINK OUR OLD BUBU WOULD HAVE USED HIS SENSE OF DIPLOMACY INSTEAD OF APPLYING USELESS SENTIMENTS. OP HIGHLIGHTED SO MANY POINTS |

| Re: 7 Reasons Why Nigeria Should Have Abstained From The UN Jerusalem Vote - ETimes by uchennaq(m): 10:19am On Dec 26, 2017 |
Mrnairalandd:THERE ARE ISSUES YOU APPLY SENSE OF DIPLOMACY EVEN IF YOU KNOW THE TRUTH, IT'S NOT EVERYTHING YOU OPEN YOUR MOUTH AND RANT, PRETENDING TO KNOW EVERYTHING WHEN IN ACTUAL FACT YOU KNOW NOTHING. YOU USE COMMON SENSE. IN THIS CASE JERUSALEM HAS BEEN THE CAPITAL OF ISRAEL EVEN BEFORE JESUS CHRIST WAS BORN. THE BEST WOULD HAVE BEEN NEUTRAL IN THAT VOTE. |

Mrnairalandd:in foreign policy and generally in international politics, flimsy interests are rarely countenanced. Your dicta is wrought with "egoistic rhetorics". Exactly where the military finished your country with their ignorance. As an expert, I would educate you a bit on this but I really do not have such time now. If you base foreign policy arguments on such note as yours, your country will remain less like the rest of the crowd you whose bravado you extol. Same Principle a bit applicable in personal relations. Ask Mugabe some questions. In international politics, you chose your friends as well as your enemies carefully and try to maintain real diplomacy in relating, "depending on the position you occupy in the global scheme of things" . Mark this as its very important. Sorry that what I can say for now. |

If every country cowardly abstain from voting, how would oppressors know that the world is not with them? |
| Re: 7 Reasons Why Nigeria Should Have Abstained From The UN Jerusalem Vote - ETimes by Doyin2(m): 10:29am On Dec 26, 2017 |
uchennaq:This is a senseless poser. What would have happened if everybody abstain . That UN resolution is useless because of America? So what is the essence of UN? People like you should realize that a vote to support UN resolution is a vote to assert its authority and relevance. Neutrality is an act of cowardice. |

cstr1001:Being on the side of justice is enough. Belonging to the side that truly care for everlasting peace is not bad. Encouraging Nigeria to be neutral just not to stand opposing USA reckless and unilateral decision is like asking our president to use the sufferings of Palestinians to his own advantage. |
