"Oh boy pass the ball na, ah ah na so you dey stingy dey go" some one screamed at an high pitch from the stand, but still yet i continued on my dazzling but greedy footwork round the field till I saw James waving at me from an unmark position and pass to him which he dispatch with ease.

Well James and I are one of the thickest lot of friend, we have been balling since we were 14, He has lost his mother and relocated to his State of Origin Edo, benin city, we initially had a brawl over nothing untils it turns out that we were made for one another.

We have been up through thick and thin together, there are things I can't put here because he might just stumble on it one day.

Well I'm Osaro and this is our story.

Studying a government textbook in my room my door was open and James walk in unceremoniously "my barrister how things na" he said in a mocking voice that only him knows how to "hey padi how things na" I replied as I stack away my book and lie down on my bed in my undecorated room. "guy me don get girlfriend oh" he announced, I spring to my feet with great immediacy and gaeity "sabi boy i nor tell you say make you patient shebi the first nut don roll enter hole na" i ask "who be the ovbialeke na" I continued "na that councillor pikin oh" he replied and jumped on the bed.

He was still a virgin at 16 i'm older than he is with 3 months and 24 days but have known my fair share of girls since I was 12 so He always came to me lamenting his swollen balls all the time, until I pointed the councillor's daughter who swoon after him out to him. So he had a shot to go get some "kpomo".

I remember the time he brought faith to my room I gave him the first rubber infact all the rubber he use on the girls he brought to my room, I made sure my grand mother didn't come to my room that day by not stealing from her, they were inside from 9 till 1, I spied on my padi and found that he know next to nothing about the fruit of man, I just shook my head at him because of the raving he had made earlier that day.

Things were looking up till the day he exchange blow with the girl's father, our avenue to free indomie noodles got block at that instant so we got back to our hungry routine.

Took waec together and failed our vitals so we knew that we needed to enrol again and so I went to start a lecture while he went to learn barbing, I was already a photographer then so we had dreams of colliding our business together.

We focused on life squarely amidst disappiotment, things were always fidgety up and down "guy me don tire for all this yeye life oh" he lamented after his Boss travelled out of the country "bro no matte we go survive na just to dey strive cause na so successful people dey take start life you hear my pal" I advised and gave him my plate of Beans and fried Plantain "abeg make we chop joor".

I started noticing changes in my friend but did not ask at first thinking it was one of his rough patch as I sometimes have mine. It was after not seeing him for months that I knew things were not going straight for him, so I track him down one day "bro afa where you come dey" I questioned immediately we went to a kiosk to have refreshment "guy I don dey do street o, I want hammer joor suffer head too much" Street is the code name for yahoo yahoo I had mixed feelings about this but not to be termed bad person I had to keep my thoughts to my self but to wish him luck nonetheless "if na this you go take make am guy abeg put eye cause my spirit tell me say you go hammer" I wished him luck as I left his H.K "me go go learn welding sha bro I wan concetrate my power on something worthy of it" I told him after relentless search for admission "come join me for here na no time for hard work again na" he begged and advised "my guy my spirit nor carry am doh" I explained and bounced off, hustling things abound.

"James don land oh" A co worker told me "henn when be that" I ask because I was not sure that my best pal was capable of that, but I was affixed by the reply I got "e don reach two weeks now oh, I hear say he collect 1.3 million naira" he announced aloud "henn bad guy don dey do am oh" I thought to myself, being a prideful person I stood routed to my house.

It was after two months that my best friend knew that I was still alive and came looking for me "hey my main Nigga how things na" he stretch a palm towards me which I took and shook "your hand don dey rough oo" he observe in that mocking voice of his that I couldn't help but drag him in for a hug, I actually love this guy not bobrisky's kinda we have been through a lot.

He flashed His Iphone 7 out of his pocket and being a tech crazed guy I asked to explore it "abeg leave my phone joor go buy yours doh" maybe he meant it as a joke but I didn't take it as that to me that was an act of intimidation from some one who I refered to as a brother so I trudge inside and went to think more about myself and where I might have missed it.

I got my answers when I received a from a man to come and give estimate on a a house so I knew then that I choose the right work for me.

We reconciled almost immediately so we were still on a balling ground, his hustling was showing on me because I doubled my working rate almost at then.

On another day we were playing play station 3 at a friend's house, so teasing each other like we always do my best pal dropped another tantrum "my guy go mature joor you be my elder I don buy land you never buy, dey there dey bend rod our 2 level nor be the same" he ranted while I dropped my jaw "guy you know say you be idiot sha, e sure for you today nor mean say tommorow e nor go be my day" I said and dropped the pad and went home immediately I almost felt dejected but reasoned a guy under 9 months in his trade who have made more than #200, 000 is not some one to be intimidated.
