Good morning to you all. I'm full of joy right now. I applied for Canada visit visa last week Dec 12 through paper route, Dec 15 I received a msg from vfs stated my processed passport is ready for collection, Kai I was really scared, just 3days for visa processing, where some people has been waiting over 8weeks yet no response from the vfs. Inshort I went to the vfs today hoping maybe my application was rejected and to God be the glory I was approved with 2years multiple visa.

You guys here are really helpful.
Congrats bro. Your first time of applying right?

I went to vfs on Tuesday 12th Dec submitted my application and did biometric that same day and I got a message now that my prossceed passport is ready for collection just 2days interval and I am on my way to PH now . I was thinking it takes 1 or 2 weeks to be ready with what I hear in recent time , does it mean my application was not proceed. .. just thinking, I can't go back to Lagos now and I did not request for courier services . Hope no issue
Have you now collected your passport bro?

Submitted my application last week 13th Dec., 2017 and just today 19th Dec., 2017 I got a message and mail "Visa application, Tracking Id No. – Your processed passport is ready for collection , on at the Canada Visa Application Centre. Please note this is an auto generated e-mail. Please do NOT reply to this email." also "Visa application, Tracking Id No. 20171213CALATRVXXXXX – Passport has been couriered from the Canada Visa Application Centre, on 19-12-2017 vide courier partner. Please note this is an auto generated e-mail. Please do NOT reply to this email. " and the last email reads "Visa application, Tracking Id No. – Passport has been couriered from the Canada Visa Application Centre, on vide courier partner. Please note this is an auto generated e-mail. Please do NOT reply to this email. "
This decision was made within 6days of submission. I am a bit afraid of the outcome though. It takes God to make it happen.

Did you collect your passport yet, what's the outcome?

HRprof, How far? How did it go?

HRprof:
Check it out while I am on my way back to PH when I got the massage , meanwhile I ask them if I can send money for courier when passPort is ready since Im not with cash to pay for courier now and the guy said yes I should send a mail when I get a respond for collection I think that's what I will do now. Bro did they send you first mail that your application has been forwarded to visa application office that same day because I got such mail toward evening that same day.

My younger sibling wants to travel to Canada, simply to write the Canadian Law School Exams, (He hopes if he passes the exams) He can apply for residency there.

@all is it possible for him to be granted a visit visa just to sit the exams after registration.

Good afternoon......
I think the Canadian embassy works with inflow and outflow rather than balance because some people get granted visas with very little balance....
The aim however is to see if U can afford the trip. It doesn't seem wise to spend your 6months savings on a one week trip, so factor in accommodation, transportation and other logistics to get you an actual amount

I am PR of Canada, I invited my younger sister. Her TRV was approved today at 7am Nigerian time. Hope this helps someone. The documents listed below are all she included, nothing more, nothing less.

Profile
Online Application Sent = June 14th, 2017
Bio-metrics Done = June 16th, 2017
Passport Request = September 26, 2017
Applicant Age = 25yrs
Applicant Marital Status = Single
Visa's on Passport prior to application = USA, India, South Africa & Dubai.
Visa denials prior to application = Denied Schenghen Visa 4 times. This was discussed on the application form

Documents Submitted
1) Employment letter from Company (Worked same company for 4yrs)
2) Paystub for 6months (Monthly salary of 190,000 naira)
3) Current Account statement for 6 months (Balance of 10,000 naira. I submitted this sothat the VO can see the salary inflow)
4) Savings account statement (Balance of 1.9m naira)
5) Letter of invitation from me (I told the Visa Officer that she will be passing through America before coming to Canada and she will be solely responsible for her expenses)
6) Copy of my PR Card
7) Detailed itinerary discussing where I plan on taking her to when she arrives. I also booked hotel accommodation in 2 of the resorts we plan on visiting.

I only sent one application status/update email to lagos embassy and they responded that they don't handle visa and advised that I contact Accra. In annoyance, I sent an email to Accra, with the title: "Disappointed Client- Ridiculous" and cc'd Minister Hussen Ahmed (Honorable Mister of IRCC) - The email was sent on Friday Sept 22.

Hope the timeline helps someone.

Good luck guys.

Hi.

I've got some questions based on your post. If a PR intends to sponsor his fiancee to come to Canada on a visitors visa, can he expressly state the cost of the trip will be borne by him? Or the cost will be shared between the two parties as the case may be?

I'm aware there's a program for people to sponsor their spouses to come over to Canada permanently but from what I gather this process takes a lot of time. So getting a visitors visa and doing the process from there might be a faster option.

Please I need your candid advice on this. Any other person with info regarding this can chip in.

Thanks

Not possible to write the exam in Nigeria?

He can't apply for residency just like that.

That is actually not true, inflow and outflow with little balance don't get you a visa.

Hi Justwise

Please I want to apply for the TRV for myself and my wife. We are both bankers earning a combined net annual income in excess of N8m. Our baby was born in the US (with all bills settled) and we still have valid visas. My wife has a landed property - I don't. My newly married friend who got his PR and moved in 2015 is inviting us and below is how his letter looks like. Please help us state what we need to add, emphasize in our application asides the standard checklist.

I, Bleep, a Nigerian nationale and a holder of the Canadian Permanent Residence card with Passport XXXXX, and DOB, XX, XXXX, and a resident of Bleep, do wish to inform you that I am formally inviting the family of my friend Bleep, with DOB; Bleep, a Nigerian citizen and a holder of its National Passport bearing the number XXXX; his wife XXXX, with DOB, XXXX, a Nigerian citizen and a holder of its National Passport bearing the number XXXX; and their 5-month old baby XXXX, with DOB, Bleep, a United States citizen and a holder of its National Passport bearing the number XXXX, for a family vacation to Canada for a period of 2 weeks. I wish to also declare that the relationship between Mr. Bleep and I, is based on a family friendship as he and his wife have been family friends with me for over 5 years.
Please be informed that Bleep and his wife, Bleep are both highly responsible individuals who will not violate the terms and conditions of their visa if granted, as they have never violated any immigration rules and regulations of the countries they have visited abroad.
I am trusting that this invitation will be honoured and therefore, I am personally accepting responsibility on his maintenance and welfare and that I will take every necessary measure to ensure that the Terms and Conditions of the temporary resident visa once issued, will be observed.
Please, if you need further information, do not hesitate to reach me on the above contact information.
Thank you for your understanding

Yours Sincerely,
Mr. Bleep XXXX

You need to add..

1. Salary account and payslips (at least 6 months of both ) If money is paid into your salary account apart from your salary you need to explain the source.

2. Marriage certificate

3. Proof of accommodation from your friend

4. Breakdown of cost of the trip.

5. List of places you will be visiting while in Canada.

Your salary is good so you shouldn't have problem financially as long as you did not over budget.

Hi all,
I want to apply for a visitors visa alongside my two toddlers. They have no travel experience but I v been to UK,South Africa. Currently, we all v valid America visas. I am a journalist and work with a reputable media house. My take home is 260 but only 180 goes into my acct. because I contribute 80 to the office cooperative society n dis is deducted from source. I have no landed property anywhere and don't intend to stay put in Canada. My job is exciting enough n it would not hurt if I am refused a visa. We plan to visit the US in September so I was just thinking it d be nice to also see Canada. I have about 2m in my acct. Pls advice me on how to go about it.
