Why are pastors criticized for their riches and not christians?

Aren't both pastors and christians followers of Jesus Christ?

Since when is it a crime to be rich whether you are a pastor or christian or muslim or white or black or tall or short?

Because Christians work hard for their money while many Pastors exploit the poor to enrich themselves !!!

There is nothing wrong with riches acquired through honesty and sweat but there is something very very wrong with wealth gained through lies, deception and scamming in the name of God.

pastor that are rich are blessed of God. the put principles of the bible to work and it works for them also. God supply you financially if you have vision.either you're a pastor or member. pastors are hard workers

If the source of your wealth is from the hope and fear of poor and sick people, you definitely deserve to be criticised.

It's because of poverty. That is the summary of the whole thing. We have pastors in Europe yet you rarely see people criticize them even though we copy most of their prosperity messages

Pastors are criticised because of the opacity of how some of them get wealthy.
People tend to see them asking for money from the congregation of both the rich and poor, sometimes with biblical threats.
then stepping out with bling, bling.

Wealthy Christian followers hardly go around asking rich and poor for money with threats, if they did, people would also critisize them.
Remember that even Mathew the tax collector before he became a disciple was also criticised for the process that made him wealthy.
