Hmmm...if 9mobile present staff knows what's best for them, they better start praying against the acquisition. Otherwise, life will take a serious stressful daunting meaning for them psychologically and financially. It is well o.

instead it should be sold to a new company entirely to engender competition. we need atleast 5 large telecom companies to compete in this country.

Do we have anti- monopoly law in this country at all?

DANGOTE waxing strong on monopoly..

Would be a better option...but I think funding may be their biggest challenge.
GLO has money (money miss road) to throw around

Adenuga runs Glo like a kiosk or corner shop, and this cannot help the situation of 9mobile.”

Re: Why Globacom Badly Wants 9mobile; But May Not Get It - The Cable by Nobody:
Firstly, the analysis of Glo becoming the largest network on acquisition of 9mobile is wrong. As a core telecom Engr, I know simple arithmetic or geometric progression cannot work here.

On acquisition, those customers who are already on Glo network & those that are displeased with Glo services are necessary minus to the cumulative customers base. Later, depending on the ability of Glo to improve her QoS, more customers may join or leave the network.

On internet network performance, they (MTN & Airtel)are all very disappointing. I stopped Glo long time ago. I use MTN as my first network but I am making this posting on Airtel my secondary link. I have faced frustration severally from both networks especially when I needed them most. This made me to load data on both networks & be running up &,down but MTN seems better.

If Glo acquires 9mobile I am not sure if 50% of 9 mobile subscribers would retain the line. Already, MTN is gradually creating a monopoly of the business with the acquisition of VGC Communication, lately Visafone .
Customers across Nigeria need fixed line number , for example in Lagos 01 - xxxxxxx , 09 - xxxxxxx, 084 - xxxxxxx which MTN acquires from Visafone is in high demand in Lagos, Abuja & PHC .

This cannot be said to be the case with 9 mobile. Any company acquiring 9 mobile should be ready to compete with MTN which will be a very tough battle.

I wish the winner best of luck

You are contradicting yourself here.

I couldn't agree more means you agree with the post you quoted but your 'i've had my Glo line since 2004" is either sarcastic or you've completely missed the message you are trying to pass.

Truth? All the networks suck especially in terms of data just like most things Nigerian suck, having had to load data on them all had them all disappoint at same time. Ironically, the same 9mobile proved to be ahead of others in terms of data service quality.

na man you be
their network dey useless for Benin City
they will be deducting money anyhow

glo internet speed is slower than injured snail
you might give your life to Christ before you finish downloading a porn movie with glo

the only place manageable in Benin City for glo is inside uniben and its surroundings like osasogie, edpa and ekosodin
You sure? Do you use their 4g sim cos I enjoy their 4g network whenever I’m in Benin

My 'I've had my glo line since 2004' means:
I've used their services for this long, so I should know better.
or
2. I'm being objective.

That I still maintain my line with them doesn't change the fact that the business is being run like a corner shop.

9 Mobile is far better than Glo in terms of QOS.

Glo might be offering big data, but it is usually extremely slow and unreliable.

They should just sell it to Dagote, Nigeria should be sold to Dagote.
Dangote that Obasanjo gave free licence to and he ended up selling same to the same etisalat.com.ng for over 200milion dollars ... He thrives where there is no competition or he can muscle the out using price and government influence

Thats the basic issues and truth. Globacom is struggling cos they are handling more than they can bare with their current business module and practices. 9mobile will either crush them or Get worse in their hands
