Nigeria, a land of jokers

A plague on my grandparents who refused to join slave trade when they have the apple opportunity.

Just imagine me speaking I wanna gonna

Instead of paying attention to this jokers
Your ancestors could have been among the untold many who died in the slaver ships or in the labour fields.

You might not even exist if your ancestors had been captured by slavers.

Be grateful for the chance to make a difference, then go out and actually do it.

I wish you all the best in 2018.

shut up and concentrate on the topic.
What does restructuring have in common with the topic of this thread?

The fact that it took this long to pass an act of parliament on such a fundamental basic right shows how useless the Nigerian national assembly really is and how much there is callous disregard for human lives in this country.

one way people can lie to themselves is by denying an obvious fact/truth. fact in this matter is that this act enforces some part of our constitution that states no that so far that you are living, u have the right to life. truth is that an innocent person might be a victim of gunshot wound/injury.
happy new year to all NL!!!
Re: Treat Gunshot Wounds First, Ask Questions Later — Buhari by Badgers14: 8:29am On Jan 01, 2018
The president should have made it simple.

Treat every individual gun shot wound, women in a Labour, little kid that broken his ankle playing street soccer, accidents victims.. Then ask for payment later.

It is a shame that as a country as Nigeria is, an accident victim will be brought to the hospital and hospital will have the guts to ask for deposit and to purchase card for emergency while the patient is dying.

Also while they are at it, they should revolutionize the health sector. No more one flat and one room hospitals. Those shouldn't even qualify as a clinic talk more of a hospital angry

You made a good point but whose money will.they use to buy all the materials needed for treatment. It's like saying go and eat without having any money on you.

I've never been a fan of any Nigerian govt. But for doing this, PMB deserves an applause. Thank you Mr. President. Because this has been one of the most numerous Barbaric act that has been going on in this country.

NOW THE NEXT MOVE IS TO REGULATE THE EXCESSES OF GOVT OFFICIALS AND SARS OFFICIALS.

Of course you type can't understand, let alone appreciate this kind of progressive development until someone known or dear to you fall victim to gunshot then perish as a result of refused treatment.

What a myopic fellow!

Meanwhile I pray ill fate does not befall you or anyone at all this new (Gregorian calendar) year.

Please its 2018, practice sensible reasoning.

It pays.

President Buhari, that's a good decision but I hope you be able to provide funds that will take care of this gun injury persons. Hospital is not ran by Ghost. In developed countries health sector is well funded but here, lol we don't even have MRI or CT scan and sometimes our X-ray machine is faulty. Please you can't make a Law and will not have fund to sustain it. Nigerian hospitals are underfunded. Even we don't have enough staff. It will be very funny episode if a gunshot injury patient arrives the Hospital and the doctor will say no available material to treat them at Accident and Emergency. Blood Banks don't even have enough Blood self, so the government has a huge role to play on this. If these things are not kept in place and you bring in a gunshot injury patient will be dead before we know what's going on. So Mr PMB kindly fund the hospital if you truly want this your policy to hold or else we Doctor's won't spend our own kobo for something that does not concern us. We still have patients in the ward who needs money for some important procedure. Now you want to put fire on our neck hell no Mr PMB.

No Sir u got it wrong, the health sector needs a constructive reform or is it overhaul no doubt but u can't say until it's done, if ever it will, victims of gunshots be allowed to die. Haba Uncle Doctor, is that consistent with d Hippocratic Oath?

This is a laudable step by d government and should be commended by all rational persons, then, we can take up d next challenge. Thats d reasonable way to go.

You don't understand. Those who have seen their love ones die will definitely tell you have bad our health sector is. I have a lot of problem to handle with my money. If I can only help in a situation of shock. Then I will do my best but Bro. The government needs to provide a fund for this emergency. I know how much we keep on donating in the hospital for our dying patients but my dear a times one has to close his eyes and allow nature take it's course.

More nonsense. What do you mean by treat first and ask questions later? Who will then answer? The corruption in police has been the problem to both good Samaritans and doctors who would help such Victims. If the govt truly wanted a solution, they know where to go. It's same as the nonsense about saying a checkpoint is illegal. Are you supposed to argue with an armed and corrupt officer that the checkpoint is illegal?
