ConsensusGroup:Going back to the drawing board remains the answer. I will convene a robust national Confab. After this I will hire foreign experts to understudy it and draw a road map. I will keep the experts by the side for advice. |

AnonyNymous:One man's horseshit is another manure as far as I'm concerned, the President has very little power unless both the upper and lower chambers support his agenda.Pikin yen no comot him papa farm go say na in big pass Not saying he won't be able to achieve anything but it'd be marginal. See above See how Obama's "legacy" is being blown to smithereens by Trump.1 it's a stupid legacy 2 not Trump, American ppl, voters and Congress, republicans I don't even know if Nigeria grants the president powers to sign executive orders. But since everyone is used to blaming the President, a lot feel the person in that seat can do wonders. You don't need executive orders to ensure budget is properly implemented See that one saying he'll "clamour for a new constitution". Lmao. When it takes ages and processes upon processes to carry out amendments,All it takes are Ghana must go bags of money oga is saying he'll create a new constitution. Nigeria can only become better the moment the populace starts taking interest in lower levels of government, and the legislative arm at each level. But I mean. . .most people don't even know that they can hold LGA chairmen responsible for the 'clay' local roads, running water, etc. Even the LGA chairmen themselves are a bunch of touts that gather with their friends to share their allocations and drink beer. LolToh since you know this why do you think a willing president will not have the leverage required to fix the country. |

if I were to be the president of Nigeria I will do the following * make everyone pay tax for each property you acquire, I.e pay tax for 5 cars each * diversify the economy, put more interest into agriculture than crude oil * increase import rate, so Nigerians can patronize locally made goods * make sure everyone retires at 50 * create more job opportunity * no govt official is allowed to go abroad for medical check up * dissolve ghost workers * call for investment from foreigners |

Only a well-meaning dictator, like military authoritarian can sanitize this country. It's beyond democracy & rule of law. To fix this land, u must trample on lots of toes, even int'l toes like countries & other int'l organization. Can a Democratic president just wake up & say all political offices salaries be slashed by 80% Rule of law, due process & human rights are our problems. If I av my way there, first thing is to become a dictator. 2 Likes |

All I see here is I will , I will . The real question is how will you do it . From what I have read here 90% of Nigerians don't know how government works , they think if you just become president you can wave your hand and money starts falling , laws start changing etc it takes more than that |

MIKOLOWISKA: How do you fix the economy.? Centralization based on SS/SE oil Restructuring based on all man to himself. Until, you answer this question, you will end being worse than Buhari |

Dsov2016: If generating tax from the Northern states is so easy, why do you think they depend entirely on SS/SE oil & gas despite being encouraged to do away with oil & gas wealth. |

Dsov2016: Why Taxation kills incentive to produce Yet these lurkers put you in power You think they will vote next election? Or if you get impeached OK my wish too but still how do you get Nass to move whole budget to agric legally Why Govt has failed at this Private sector better at everything Everything including welfare See above Ask Nigeria airways and Nigeria Shipping Understood but private sector will always be cheaper and more efficient than govt. When you leave they will start hiring their brothers and sisters and party supporters that are not needed Penny wise pound foolish What you should do is monitor proper compact bidding and delivery Again leave private insurers to compete Just stop subventing the clubs Privatise the stadia It isgovt officials sharing the gate proceeds instead of investing in the sports a full capacity stadium of about 65,000 can at the very least net a club over #890mn per season. also invest heavily in other sports, university sports to remove youths from idleness and give them a source of livelihood.Leave private sector otherwise you will be back to square zero as we are with sports in general Private sector o But provide Scholarship for the worthy indigent not everyone Awoof de run our bele make sure schools teach ethics. stop lecturers from striking.Where will you get their new salary from in short term Leave to private sector try all possible best to make education as free as possible.nothing is free Chickens will come home to roost it is a right not a privilege It is a privilege that is being abused Only God almighty has right to anything . encourage start ups and research in the universities to encounter inventions.Don't mess with nature Ask India and China Capitalism will reduce population naturally

Dsov2016: Then the gruntled elements should learn to manoeuvre around the blocking Don't be lazy look at the way they are gradually locking the common man out of the democracy( eg Dino's recall,How is it undemocratic is it not the judges you put there via governor and president appointment? saraki's trial, and even sale of parties form)what is undemocratic about party form. You can't raise millions for form how will you raise billions for campaign or you think billboard and advert is Free.? even if the new constitution passes they would manipulate it to the point that it would be worse than the previous one.And your lawyers will be looking at them? do you think they would go for a constitution that backs the FIRS to seize any Ill begotten wealth or a law that backs free education or a law that makes it possible for the gov to ask for the source of wealth or a law that allows for the suspension of immunity once misdeeds can be proven. such laws will eliminate the powers of sacred cows. These laws already exist Just no political will to enforce cos everyone is more interested in loot Do you know that only a few of the security agents meant to guard us are in reality guarding us. most of them guard the so called big wigs, their family and worst of all their empty houses. funny thing is if the big wigs/politicians do their job right there really will be no need for their guards. Those are the guards you voted for via the bigwigs

a bad work man blames his tools Party is party Even one party state there are groups within the party Hence primaries Chinese rule through barrel of gun not votes We already have virtual two party As well as multi party system What we don't have are focused determined intelligent leaders that want developmen Every is interested in loot only |
