“When he was accused of not possessing school certificate or its equivalent, Nigerians fired back that it didn’t matter and that they were satisfied if all he had was a mere Agege bread or NEPA bill tag. “Such was the ululation and sheer passion that when he was pronounced winner, one Nigerian actually walked from Lagos to Abuja in solidarity, while another rode a bicycle from Kaduna to Lagos. “Unfortunately, all the promises and hopes of a better tomorrow have since become a mirage, reminding one of Julius Caesar’s tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.” “He surprisingly exonerated a colourless, rudderless and corruption-laden NNPC that is not accountable to the Nigerian people. This is a good way of giving tax payers update on issues. Kudos! Government responsiveness seems to be improving. I definitely know that grid collapse would have occurred many times in times past without the information going round as it is now due to improved communication and media tools. And those times, govt just didn't give a damn. Fashola is really trying with the Ministry of Power and works. And if given the necessary support by Nigerians and the National assembly, he will deliver. He is showing a passion unrivaled by previous ministers. And giving regular updates. But he needs to do more as regard metering. 100 Likes 4 Shares |

Restored at 4.05am, just after my initial comment. Area covered by Eko Electricity Distribution Company on Lagos mainland. I never imagined they will restore light so quick due to the pessimistic comments flying around on social media. Chai, Nigerians sha. With the comments, one would think the whole grid and everything don scatter. 23 Likes |

Updates like these are indeed commendable. agabusta: Quite impressive recovery time as well. Hoping power is restored to other parts of the country as well ASAP and the power supply momentum sustained to the agony of embittered wailers. 20 Likes |

agabusta: If you follow the way some people on SM insults Fashola and this govt, one will offend God. These are people that were comfortable with darkness for days under past administrations without explanation but now insult govt that is really working on fixing things in that sector at the slightest excuse of power cut for few hours in a day. 56 Likes 5 Shares |

ManMountain: I just dey pity the man. Discos, Gencos and Transmission company will hit him from both sides. National Assembly and gas suppliers will hit him from the top. The citizenry is not providing any respite and psychological encouragement. They are also hitting him from below at every opportunity. Saboteurs are also hitting him from below. In fact, the guy dey see pepper from all sides. I just hope he won't breakdown in his attempt to please everybody. Contrary to people abusing him, the guy sure has a resilient brain. His work load is just too enormous. 37 Likes 1 Share |

agabusta:
PMB gave the job and 3 vital ministries to Fashola for a reason. Before declaring to contest the 2015 election, PMB personally flew to Lagos to invite Fashola, the first person he personally visited and invited and on top of that, he handed over his campaign's money and finances to Fashola to handle as the Finance Director and he went to his first G7 meeting with Fashola. PMB saw talent, refinement and competence in Fashola hence tasking him with the most critical and complex jobs in his administration and their absolute trust that he'll deliver accordingly. What we witnessed today and how his ministry responded was very new and refreshing, it makes you hopeful and proud that in our lifetime, we are looking at timely and responsive government ministries and agencies in Nigeria collaborating and responding collectively to swiftly address a common problem with minimal disruptions. I'm very very hopeful. 65 Likes 5 Shares |

They want PMB to fail, they want Fashola to fail, but God will continue to deliver success to our government and tears is all they will ever know. Wailing wailers Indeed. 45 Likes 2 Shares
