Hello everyone. I'm an ardent follower of this wonderful forum for the past two years as a ghost reader and i had to open an account today to ask a few questions. I most confessed, this forum has help me alot in terms of my academics and many other stuffs. Thanks you seun osewa for creating this wonderful furum. Back to the above question, I'm just a 17 years old final year secondary student that is gonna write Waec and Jamb this year. I was advised by the students advisor in my school to study Quantity Surveying but someone told me that the course is obsolete and it will be hard for me to get a job after school. My question here is : 1. How lucrative is the course (given the fact that i am the first born in my family and i got 4 siblings to cater for when am done with school ) 2. Is the course tough? 3. Where can i work with a degree in quantity surveying in Nigeria ? Moderators can you please push this topic to the front page so that the quantity surveyors in the house can see it. I'm also a qs aspirant and am looking for a thread like this. regarding your questions, according to my research the salary is not that much ( 50-80) and you will work in the construction industries. btw which school are you applying for? Quantity surveying is a very good one. I love the course, and it’s cool just a lil maths phys and architecture |
