GEJ n APC who ruled first?
what kind of logic is that, part of the reasons he was voted out was because buhari said he will do what Jonathan did not do, now it is time to delivere you are shifting the goal post, Jonathan had been punished for that already by electoral defeat, its your lord that is next now for being deceitful

IT IS AN UNAVOIDABLE SITUATION, FUEL PRICE WILL BE INCREASED AS LONG AS WE CONTINUE TO IMPORT REFINED PRODUCTS.
INCREASE IN CRUDE OIL PRICE MEANS, INCREASE IN PRICE OF REFINED PRODUCTS ( AND THUS SUBSIDY) , SINCE WE DONT HAVE ANY LOCAL REFINERY CAPACITY, WE WILL NEED TO BITE THE BULLET.
ANY ATTEMPT BY GOVERMENT TO CUSHION THIS EFFECT AND TO MINTAIN FUEL PRICE AT N145 PER LITRE WE HAVE A NEGATIVE EFFECT ON OUR EXTERNAL RESERVE AND ABILITY TO FUND OUR BUDEGT - RECALL FUEL SUBSIDY CONSTITUTED ABOUT +20% OF PRE 2015 NATIONAL BUDGET?
THE QUESTION NIGERIANS SHOULD ASK IS HOW WAS THE LAST REGIME (GEJ) ABLE TO MAINTAIN A LOWER PUMP PRICE OF N87.50/LITRE IN THE MIDST OF HIGHER CRUDE OIL PRICE (+$60/BBL) PRE MAY 2015? THE EXTERNAL DEMAND / SUPPLY DYNAMICS OVER THE LAST THREE YEARS HAS REMAINED UNCHANGED, THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THE HIGHER EXCHANGE RATES?
.

This administration was too busy trying to get power to have time for evolving solid solutions to Nigeria's myriad challenges.

They were a strong opposition, no doubt, one of the very best in recent times but truth must be told, they make a very wacky government!

They were so ill-prepared for everything that even cabinet team selection took over 6 months only to include borrowed lootocrats and other mentally crippled failures-in-govt on board.

We all know the rest of the story but the puzzling thong now is the factor of the self-hating zombies who keep hauling this govt as the best ever!

You no know anything at all or you just too young. Don't,t you know that this fuel crisis is no accident but was planned to ensure a hike in fuel pump price? The fuel marketers have been playing this game for years!

They should better Consult GEJ... on how he was able to not just manage but also reduce the price of fuel at a time crudeoil was $100/barrel..

Where are all the oil was sold at $100/barrel chanters?
when God wants to disgrace a mortal there is no hiding place, all manners of lies, deception, propaganda, blackmail all falling like a pack of cards, without much effort by Gej or opposition.
Truth is what sets you free.

when he wanted doing that, didnt your boss and others protested against it?..he would have fixed it only if he removed it then but he could not and the little he saved from it he then initiated the sure-P program...

Bow subsidy has been removed
Where did the savings from fuel subsidy go to?
Instead things are getting on a high daily

Sharap there! You Jonathan sycophants will always divert attention from your lord by INSINCERELY telling us he was voted out because of his failures whenever you're reminded of the indefensible ineptitude of the ineffectual buffoon! Deep down, you GEJ sycophants think he is the best president in the history of the world but not everyone has a goldfish memory like you GEJ sycophants! We remember well & won't let you rewrite history for us!

For example, they'll tell you lies that GEJ & his so-called super economic team improved the economy so much when the fact clearly states that he met Nigeria's GDP growth at 7.68% when he took over & plunged it to 2.36% when he left office, even at a time of oil boom! We remember everything! They shouldn't come here & be forming we moved from frying pan to fire by moving on from the ineffectual buffoon! Criticize buhari all you want, but don't come & rewrite history for us that things were so much better during GEJ's era!

Now that's the biggest and fattest lie you just posted.

When you rebase a GDP from circa $300bn to circa $500bn do you still expect the same percentage growth as previously? Do the math, 7.68% growth at $300bn when rebased to $500bn will give you what actual growth rate please?

No lies of yours can hold in 2019 Ooo...we believed you then but never again!

How? By depleting our cash reserves to pay what they call subsidy when the marketers who are supposed to be receiving this subsidy are still being owed over #800b? So who was receiving all of these subsidies if the marketers are still being owed this much? Or you didn't think it'll backfire soon?

The problem of you Jonathan sycophants is twisting facts! Your economy was rebased in April 2014, and changed its base year to 2010 from 1990. Abeg who dey power since 2010?

I'm very ashamed for Nigerians. Reading the first few comments on the front page made me nod my head in pity. Nigerian youths have no idea what's going on around them. They just digest what the likes of omokri and FFK feed them. There is no subsidy!!! Under Jonathan, the FG got a few thieves together and claimed they gave them licences to import fuel. They then paid these thieves billions to argument the differential cost of what the claimed they imported (But never did). The FG was fraudulently paying these guys money to keep petrol price low, although they never imported anything in the first place. Under Buhari, the price of oil has increased on the international market. The price of patrol in other other countries has increased to reflect this spike in world oil prices. In Nigeria the price of fuel has not increased to match the world wide price of oil because the NNPC is doing all the importation and bearing the differential cost. No thief is being paid any money to argument prices as it obtained under Jonathan. So my fellow Nigerian youths that is the difference. The NNPC is shouldering all the cost. The FG is not paying ifeanyin uba or Femi otedola any subsidy money to keep prices low.
