People are strange. It is normal to see organisations have a "Government in exile".

Why arrest people for holding a meeting over a country that is yet to officially exist?

The dictatorial government of Buhari never ceases to amaze me.

First he gies after Biafra, now he goes after Ambazonia
I am enjoying this thread please.

Have you not noticed the writers here are intellectually balanced?keep your Buhari this or that away from this thread.

If they had approached the relevant authorities that they want to hold a meeting, would they have been arrested?

Please go back to the Romance section.

The grown ups are discussing here.

Buhari is collaborating with northern muslim cameroun leaders to exterminate the Ambazonian southern cameroun leaders with the DSS. They are mainly xtians and will be killed or handed over by Buhari's DSS to please the northern muslim camerounians.

Makes perfect sense.

I had always wondered why Nnamdi Azikiwe, Founded the National Council For Nigeria and Cameroun NCNC in the 1940's.

Makes perfect sense now.
Herbert Macaulay founded NCNC.

Come on!

You should be more worried to know that oppressed freedom fighters and human rights advocates can not flee to your country for refuge and feel safe.

I doubt if you even sleep at night with your two eyes closed...that is if bokoharam or Buhari's herdsmen have not already sacked your community.
ha you think herdsmen and boko haram are everywhere in Nigeria? go and sleep you are a kid

Was told by some Cameroonians that their leader was either undergoing some training or hiding in Nigeria (can't remember which). Apparently they were right.

Had to quickly check again on Google.

It says Azikiwe.

How did you come up with Herbert?

Modified: you are correct.

If you Google NCNC it tells you it was founded by Azikiwe.

If you Google Herbert Macauley it will say he founded NCNC.

Even Google is confused.

It was founded by Herbert Macaulay, but he was pretty old at that time so he groomed Zik to take over from him (you need to read his will) and he died before Nigeria gained independence.

Macaulay also founded what is considered to be the first political party in Nigeria, the NNDP.

The Nigerian govt can never get their foreign policy right. They were jubilating that they voted for palestianians as if that would help them in anyway.

You would expect the Nigerian govt by now to be actively involved in the southern cameroons. Prop up secessionists there, provide covert monetary support and protect their leader especially when he is in your country , in the hope of re-integrating them back into Nigeria, expand our territory, and dealing a blow to cameroon at the same time.

This play book has been used many times throughout world history including recently when Russia claimed crimea, yet Nigeria will always fumble.

The guy probably came to Nigeria given how Nigeria is supposed to be on their side given everything we stand to gain only to end up being kidnapped.

What a terrible failure of a nation.

That guy is supposed to have covert secret service protection from the Nigerian government.

I brought this up in different thread. I the main issue with this is Nigeria has it own secessionist problems along with boko Haram and ND millitabts to deal with. The blow back back be deadly. Can Nigeria handle a proxy war?

Reading his will be great.

Cameroon is not a superpower. I doubt they can fund proxy wars in Nigeria.
France maybe, but smart leaders have way of maneuvering that.

Russia has secessionists in Chechnya even till now, yet they proped up secessionists in Crimea belonging to Ukraine until it became untenable for Crimea to remain Ukrainian.

Nigeria can fund secessionists in southern cameroon with minimal consequences. You just need smart leadership.

International politics is a chess game. I doubt if our leaders can even play chess.

the world is watching o andtheUN don't want today anything now....when the matter go enter war, then them go begin find peace keepers and mission to go settle wahala...they created all this wahala..how can you join two different speaking regions to form cameroon in 1960....now it has back fire

You guys remind me of a debate on TV between my late former professor and Admiral Aduwo.

(My former professor had a very short temper and he once encouraged us, when he was HOD, to beat up lecturers who refused to release our results).

Cameroon invaded some Nigerian villages in 1982 and killed some villagers. Admiral Aduwo was chief of naval staff at that time. It seemed like there was going to be war between Nigeria and Cameroon, but the two governments resolved the problem diplomatically.

My professor was angry. He said that it was that incident that emboldened the Cameroonians to challenge us in later years.

Admiral Aduwo said that he had information which the professor did not have at that time. He said that, yes Nigeria had a stronger military and could have invaded Cameroon, but that they got intelligence reports that France was going to send a destroyer to Cameroon and indeed they did.

The professor said, "And so what?" He said that Nigeria should have attacked France if it got involved. He was so angry. Admiral Aduwo was in shock. I was laughing my head off at home because I knew exactly how the professor was.

Putin has deal with Chechnya. That's the reason there's been relative peace in region throughout decade. The actions gave the excuse to put sanctions on Russia. Nigeriawould have to ready on a lot fronts.

Cameroon doesn't need to be a superpower. The would simply give boko haram guns and withdraw support.the ND militants and IPOB would require more cash. France would get involved since they always in background of these type of things. Biya also maintains close relationship with France. I agree Cameroon weaker power but they still have enough resources to do damage.

Anyone with quality basic education (secondary, at least) won't need Google for scenarios such as this.

And who says Google is infalliblehuh

Herbert Macaulay founded the NCNC and handed it over to Nnamdi Azikiwe who was his deputy before his demise.

Google is useless here.

it doesnt make sense to start a wayo game in cameroon.cameroon is not military strong like nigeria.nigeria fought a war with people that were very pissed and still won.this matter is not about france.nigeria is strong enough to beat cameroon in a conventional war.

if nigeria realy didnt give a fvck about cameroon, bakassi wouldnt have be giving up to them.
we saw it as a brother bickering matter back then.

nigeria still has this pan africa nonesense.

if we can send ghanaeans packing, western nations cant stop us from sending south africans packing too.south african companies profit more from us than we from them.soooo.
