There is a big difference between a Slave and a Servant. A Slave is a mere property. A servant is an employee. Slaves have no rights. Servants have rights. They can walk away if they feel they are not getting a fair treatment from their employers. That is why government workers are called “Civil servants”. The term servant used in 1 Peter 2:18 is taken from the Greek word “oiketes” which means household or domestic servant. The Greek word for Slave is “doulos”. The English translation of “doulos” is usually slave or bondman. Christ says that there is no such thing as a Slavery in Christianity, rather there is service. We are created to serve and not to slave away our lives in misery. Christ came so that we may have freedom and life in abundance: John 10:10 ““The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly” THE SECOND LIE OF OLLAH1 Another fib you told is with relation to Deut. 22:22. The verse is not oppressive to women since it clearly states that BOTH the MAN and the WOMAN found committing adultery will be punished for the act. This is different from what obtains in Islam where the woman alone would be stoned for adultery. In fact in Islamic Shariah Law, it is very difficult if not impossible for a woman to prove her innocence in Sharia Court because in Islam women are viewed as being less intelligent and less reliable witnesses than men: Sahih al-Bukhari, Volume 1, Book 6, Number 301: Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri: Once Allah's Apostle went out to the Musalla (to offer the prayer) o 'Id-al- Adha or Al-Fitr prayer. In fact you applied the Islamic tactic known as “Kitman” which is “lying by omission” when you supplied this verse because you deliberately left out Ephesians 5:21 which says that Husbands and Wives are to submit to each other for the Love of Christ: "Submit to one another in reverence of Christ" Submit yourselves to one another for the reverence of Christ” In Christianity, the attitude of husband towards wife and wife towards husband is that of mutual affection and not a master/servant relationship as it obtains in Islam where wifebeating is allowed and encouraged. Well, 1 Timothy 2:12 was Paul’s Epistle to Timothy who was the head of the Church in Ephesus The context of 1Timothy 2:12 was directed at the cult of the ancient Greek goddess called Artemis. In the cult of Artemis women were pre-eminent and they were regarded as being superior to men. In 1Timothy 2:12 Paul was helping Timothy to correct a specific pastoral situation which was the importation of the pagan Greek teachings into Christianity. It did not apply to all members of the Church.
