Feraz:down south my foot.who stopped southern cameroonians from entering east.? look, securing borders is not easy.and we africans dont have that mentality. ask yourself how many africans enter into south africa and you only find out when they are caught by the police that they are illegal.? africans just dont have the mentality of securing borders.its not our thing.and now that the world is coming more and more toghether its realy not necessery for us to learn it. trains reaching Niger Republic is a econimical gain for nigeria too. western nations build streets and railways to move their miltary quickly, not for common people. when its war then everything built is used for the military, its not because of you that want every cheap or even better for free. |

The Rail-line will replenish Bokoharam and bring more Herdsmen and their Cattle to Nigeria. Niger Republic Schools, Hospitals and other infrastructures are built by our F.G, The N.W & The N.E Governments. There are Buhari, Kwankwanso, Aminu Kano, Shettima, Sherif etc Roads and Schools in Niger, Chad and Cameroon Republics. My brother, our neighbours are in Opulence at the expense of our Nigerian economy. Buhari prefers Process to Restructuring so he can process more Rails and other infrastructures to Niger, Chad and Cameroon. Remember the words of The Emir of Daura at GEJ's National Conference? That his Daura Emirate outside Nigeria, is 3 times larger than in Nigeria. He mentioned the implications of his statements then, which we all seem to have forgotten now. From these viewpoints, The NASS should be confident to now insistently track for full autonomous states control of Resources, Election and Police(FAS-CO-REAP). As this will stop Corruption. |

By the way, the proposed new rail addition from Kano through Kazaure, Daura and Jibia to Maradi covers a whopping distance of 806 kilometres, Haba 806 km, from Kano to Daura is just an hour drive, from Daura to Jibia is 45 minutes and from Jibia to Maradi is less than an hour. These people can lie |

NafeesaAA:The IPOB Bureau of Statistics thread exist for a reason. Anyway he's probably adding all the routes together. Kano to Mardi not 800 km. I agree on asking about counter part funding but they don't need to lie to get a point across. The next thing they want to imply is that buhari sneaking in illegal nut it's actually his administration doing more about illegal immigrants and borders issue than previous administrations. Last big point the forgot is Jonathan was planning to do same thing in 2013.

Pavore9:Haba! I least expect this from you! The idea behind the rail is to ensure Niger uses our ports to import their goods. Is that not worth the investment? Is Kenya not building railway to neighbouring landlocked countries? |
| Re: Nigerian Railway To Maradi In Niger Republic? No Way! by Pavore9: 9:12pm On Jan 08, 2018 |
mfm04622:Take Uganda for example it is landlocked and uses Kenya sea port for its export and import, despite fierce competition from Tanzania that has been enticing Uganda to redirect their trade through them, Kenya will be ending the rail track from their seaport in Mombasa (which is like Lagos) at their border with Uganda and not crossing over the border as Uganda is to continue the track on her soil. This link should help. www.standardmedia.co.ke/mobile/amp/article/2001241679/uganda-needs-kenya-s-go-ahead-for-sh237-billion-china-rail-cash |

Petrosonly:I have to quote the whole loooong epistle to draw your attention to the fact that you wrote it just because of a 55km rail line. |

Pavore9:Okay! I have carried out research and can't see anywhere where one country fund railway in another country so you are right. We must all condemn this vigorously. Especially since we are borrowing to fund this project. |

mfm04622:Glad you got to verify. Even a kilometre into Niger Republic is not fair on us, he should have gotten Niger Republic to do that 55km to Maradi. |

Pavore9:the fulanis in Niger and Nigeria see themselves as one, the fulani enclave are more united and more loyal to themselves than the countries they find themselves in so they see nothing wrong in spending on infrastructure in another country as long it's the same fulani enclave. We are just shouting on this thread for nothing, are we not aware that most abokis on okadas and those who are gatemen in most households are from Niger? The Fulanis see themselves as a nation on their own irrespective of wherever they are around the globe. My personal reason I don't want any fulani to rule Nigeria anymore. Check them out on wikepedia, you will know more. |

Pavore9:I disagree wit this totally. First many countrirs build infrastructure in foreign countries, like russian oil n gas pipeline. Second Kenya would gain alot if the could own the line Till Kampala. Capital n biggest city there. Think about forcing their Cargo through the line to Kampala. Maybe Nigeria will gain in the future if West Africa can get their Act right |

How can this man go and borrow money to be repaid with money from oil in the Niger delta to build railway to Niger republic. hmmmmm! This just unfair. |
