With due respects! All protocols observed! I do not wish to publish articles to condemn but to help reconstruct Nigerian bloggers-either wordpress/bloggers/others:
1. Most bloggers are illitrates andcopy-cats, i.e, they copy from their fellow bloggers content and publish without leaving a link to the source or at least edit the post to look different.
2. Most of them want their blog to be like someone's own from this list-(BellaNaija, lindaIkeji, tooxclusive, naijaloaded ...). Hardly to see fresh Ideas
3. They do not have quality information source. Information must be evaluated before posting but most contents I see after titles like this-'A Nigerian man nearly commits sucide in lagos' but viewing the content all you can get is-'A facebook man named Ibrahim ......posted his pics with ropes on his neck' Habba! They will not kill me, this is 2018. 'They will be like-5 Facebook groups fought as three were burnt down in lagos'
4. They ran into blogging because of adsense: Since adsense is nearly simpler to get in bloggers, All Nigerian wants to become a blogger, not because of passion but just to have a share with goole's cash! Yet, I wonder why they run later. Owuch! They discovered that all that glitters is not gold. Let me come to a halt and see your reviews
Conclusion and Advice: All bloggers with passion for blogging should make his/her blog unique both with content and structure (Quality and Quantity)

Thanks

I agree with op, especially number 2. Instead of bloggers to strive for uniqueness, they will be looking for naijalaoded theme, ogbongeblog theme blah blah blah..

If these guys weren't successful, I doubt if you'll find their theme attractive. The secret is: strive for success and everything about your blog will become beautiful.

Stop copy copy and be unique.

And above all, deliver value. With time, you'll reap the rewards. It doesn't happen overnight.

the reason why blogging is boring in Nigeria is: most bloggers want to hit the gold mine immediately they start blogging, lack of investigative journalism: you guys just come up with some sorts of poo to gain traffic, there a lot of them on nairaland and the most annoying part is that it seems most Nigerian bloggers don't know of other niches apart from celebrity blogging.

OP, I agree with you. Nowadays, many bloggers post rubbish. I get angry when I visit a post, and find out what's in there is not exactly what the title portrays. I feel like shutting that blog down.

I agree with the OP. Another reason a lot of them became bloggers is because of that lady called Ikeji Linda. This surge in Nigerian bloggers is why our cpc is so low.

Did you wake up one morning, rent a building and called yourself a doctor? No. You studied for it. Spent years in school for it to be a master of your craft. Bloggers of today just think of a name, register a domain, buy an adsense account, copy and paste nonsensical and half baked content and smile to themselves.

you are on point and not far from the truth....most Nigerian bloggers are hard to define self...the most painful aspects is that they don't know why they are into blogging and worst still copy and paste.....they will copy and paste your articles and when you call them to ask why, they will say they are not aware or gave silly excuses to justify their illegal acts....most of them don't even know the rudiments and because Mr A or Mrs B is making money or has made money from adsense/blogging, they all want to venture into it...
there was these blogger copying my blog post words to words and when I called him to ask him to desist, he boldly told me that all bloggers in naija copy theirselves that why am i disturbing him....I was shock and dumbfounded from the statement....well it's not how far, its how well...those copy and paste bloggers will eventually fall by the road side...this is 2018
