The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai, has deployed the special teams of the Nigerian Army to Benue, Taraba and Nasarawa states to check further loss of lives.

Buratai, who disclosed this yesterday in Abuja during the distribution of farm implements by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Chief Audu Ogbeh, at the military ranch in Giri, pledged that the military would restore peace and order in the affected states, adding that it would be easier to develop the agricultural sector and boost the nation’s economy in a peaceful environment.

His words: “We are asking our Special Forces Brigade to ensure that they are deployed across the county at short notice to ensure they stem the crisis between herdsmen and farmers.

“We have deployed officers across Benue, Taraba and Nasarawa states where to ensure peace and stability for the development and betterment of our country.”

He disclosed that the military had secured 436 hectares of land in Nasarawa State for agriculture purposes, stressing that once the nation achieves food security, criminal activities, including insurgency, would reduce drastically.

The army chief, who said the idea of ranches in military formations came to him while on a course in Bangladesh, stated that soldiers nationwide now engage in various forms of agricultural activities, including poultry and horticulture.

They are only sending the troops to aid and protect the government sponsored killer herdsmen and prevent the indigenes from defending themselves by shooting the indigenes during protests or any form of gathering;and also prevent them from forming local vigilante groups...

Soldiers and troops and military operations all over the place because you folks dont have a country, you have a corporation, where the resources are owned by Queen Eliza and her friends. Instead of forming African nations that will promote your interest many of you guys are there praying for peace in the devils zoo being managed by Fulani thugs...

How many times have those region especially Benue state been terrorised and attacked by those herdsmen

Why then did it take them months, weeks or days to send troops I believe they even did it cos most people have recently canvassed in favor of Benue state and called the attention of our deaf federal government.

You that doesn't want to politicise issues ,Oya answer me!!!

Okay but he shouldn't have waited until Military Personnel are been killed before sending Soldiers.
Let them go there and do professional work shaaa.

But the Military getting involved in farming is what I don't understand clearly. They would be too much fatigue once they get involved in farming ohhhhh...

This part of the prophecy down there is about to fulfill because they are going there to protect the fulani..

"Then a group deadlier than
Boko Haram will emerge,
they will seize our farmland,
rape our women, kill our
people and their master will
protect, defend and even
arm them because their sole
agenda is to enslave us
forever. Those who cannot
see it now will soon see it".

its unfortunate that we are being governed by etho-sentimental leaders. I wonder why it took the FG 10days to approve deployment of military personnel to "communal-torn" Benue state. i hope it isn't a disguise to shield mehyetti Allah terrorists camped in Nasarawa.
