9japrof:I hear of N power bt never met anyone doing this bt looking at its structure/Module it wud make better sense if they screen through their candidates cv and performance and get them better employment in larger cooperations and government parastatals as a continuum. However the 30k has helped alot of people out there so its still a credit to the govt in dat regard |

Histrings08:Gather which money? After all expenses, it's very hard to save from the Stipend. If you want to rent shop 80k.... It'll take 5 months of very serious savings and depriving oneself of perks b4 one can save that 80k.... Then to save money to buy equipment or start up stock..... Another 4-5 mouths.... One year is almost gone... So it's not that easy It's up to the state governments to retain volunteers.... But the FG could elongate the tenure to 2019.... Cos at the end of the year when the program is over, where do they want ppl to go? |

Good grammatical write-up. Keep applying for bigger jobs or save enough to trade when the program is over. |

dammyloye:You don't have any point at all, ITK dey worry you and yet you lack brilliance. You just displayed huge ignorance in a public space like Nairaland. Now let me school you a little, since Buhari is the president of Nigeria, he is the FG, And FG is Buhari, anything achieved by FG is going to be tagged to Buhari being the President during the period the stuff was achieved, and more so, N-Power is part of his program, whether you like Buhari or Not cos he is the president so he is part of the Federal Government too and as a matter of fact he is the head of FG. If FG fails it means Buhari has failed too, whatever FG achieve Buhari also achieve too, but now that FG has achieve you want to exclude Buhari because you obviously hate him? Haba. And more-so, President, Vice president, Secretary to the President and all his political appointees like Ministers are also FG, they are all part of the Executive and they are also part of the decision makers that help shape your life and also affect your future. Get that into your thick skull Buhari hater. Pls get some little education at least and don't allow hate destroy you totally. |

Oledia:To start with, she never talked of being satisfied with #30,000. She had a vision and government never called NPOWER job - it is an empowerment, in my own opinion she is using NPOWER to gather resources for her dream business. We have heard of people that started their businesses with money realised from NYSC days and are doing fine. So, if #19,800 could do how much more #30,000. Don't despise the day of little beginning. Why will she settle for that if there was better opportunity and should she be sleeping around instead of #30,0000 offer or may be you have a better option for her? Instead of you advising her on how to make good saving and plan her way out of poverty you are talking of voting out bad politicians. There is nothing you can do about our political class - bad governance has come to stay in Nigeria. You just have to take whatever you are giving and use your godly wisdom to multiply it. You who have never been able to enter political class are talking of dislodging them by mere Facebook campaign. Do you mean to stop northerners from voting for money sake? Do you have the power to stop Lagosians from rendering their loyalty to Tinubu? Get out of delusion of changing Nigeria while you are yet to change yourself. ONLY A CHANGE MAN CAN CHANGE THE WORLD - Bishop Oyedepo. |

Everybody just wants to be comfortable, nobody wants to be innovative, people will waste how many years in school and come out to do something they never had plans for You should be concerned that a person who has no Teaching Certificate is a teacher, that is the beginning of the failure in our educational system |

I think this post by John Zibiri is the perfect reply for you if you sharpen your understanding. "I worked and lived in Abuja for 18 years. I ran my own private company from 2001 until 2014. Two million of the likes of Buhari cannot change Nigeria. Everything is wrong with Nigeria. The Director won't give you contract except you pay up front . The banks won't give you loan except you concede a certain percentage. The man supervising the contract won't pass the job except you play ball. The clerk won't pass your file for payment except you rob his palm. The accounts department won't raise your payment voucher or cheque unless you see them. I can go on and on. The worst thing is that it has become a norm that nobody sees anything wrong with. If you think otherwise, they begin to think you are sick and not normal. If you try to stand in their way, you put your life at risk. If you get killed there is no justice system in place to seek redress and bring the perpetrators to book. The police is corrupt , the Judiciary is the same. Even the religious circle is not spared. Everything in Nigeria revolves around corruption. Nobody cares about anybody. No law and order. I looked from my left to right, everybody is only desperate about one thing "money". They will kill anybody and anything that stand between them and money. I am an electrical engineer with MNSE and COREN. The system don't care about my qualifications. Distribution and transmission jobs are given to alhajis, pastors, friends and relatives without any basic skills. I started asking myself, how do I convince my kids that education and hard work is rewarding? When fools, agberos and touts are running the country from the local govt to the Presidency. Is this what my four sons will also go through? In 2014 I decided I have had enough. I decided I was leaving. I migrated to Australia with my family. Don't put yourself in harm way for any reason. The problem of Nigeria is in the hands of Nigerians living in Nigeria. Try starting a gate house in your village, everybody wants to profiteer from it. The bricklayer, the carpenter, the mason and even your brother who claim to be supervising on your behalf. They are corrupt, morally bankrupt and selfish. Everybody there thinks about himself and nobody is thinking about Nigeria . You don't have to be the one to go there to change anything. Let those under the hammer start the revolution. I beg make you hear word. This post is gonna anger a lot of my followers. I'm still gonna post it anyway. *Analogy of OPPRESSORS & FOOLISH CITIZENS. *(A case study of Nigeria citizens & their elected oppressors): During the Soviet dictatorship of Joseph Stalin. He was a brutal dictator with mind of his own. On one fateful day, Stalin came to Politburo meeting with a live chicken. Standing in front of audience, He started to pluck the feathers of the live chicken off one by one. The chicken trembled in pain, blood tricking out of its pores. It gave out grievous cries, but Stalin being a cruel dictator continued without remorse plucking the feathers out until the chicken was completely naked. After which, he threw the chicken on the ground. The naked chicken was staggering in pain. Stalin goes into his pocket and from his pockets, he took out some chicken food and started to throw it at the poor & hapless creature. The poor chicken in pain started eating and Stalin started walking towards his seat. As he walked away, he kept dropping some feeds on the floor & the chicken followed him and sat feeding from his feet. Joseph Stalin then turned to members of his political party leadership. He said, "This chicken represents the people". "You must disempower them, brutalise them, beat them up, starve them and then leave them". "If you do this, go into your pocket & give them peanuts when they are in that helpless and desperate situation, they will blindly follow you for the rest of their life, worshiping you". "They will think you are a hero forever. They will forget that, you're responsible for their sorrowful situation in the first place." Breath taking, isn't it ? ♂ Now! Take a look at all the people some Nigerians are busy defending on social media. Take a look at those they call their heroes. They are the same people who plunged Nigeria into the situation she is. They are the same people who are responsible for their predicaments. Did you see the numbers of people that throng to Saraki's house during this Christmas period to go and collect peanuts? Did you see the crowd that welcomed Ibori? Your guess is as good as mine. And the likes of many others, we all know about. Nigerians kill those they should defend and defend those they should kill! Pass to all your contacts & let your government know we know. |

Hasheem1hash:Are you minding them. As if they have what it take to deal with the political class. Is it not the same NPOWER some graduates are still blaming government for , for not shortlisting their names. And besides, couldn't the poor lady make it to her dream business through savings realised from the #30,000 or have better opportunity through networking from the mere NPOWER job. You never can tell that might be all she needed in life to break forth. Nigerians are despising the days of little beginning and our problems are measuring up on a daily basis. They will prefer to be complaining of unemployment rather than take the available and turn it to desirable. |
