Abraham Lincoln said "Have I not destroyed my enemy
when I have made him into my
friend?"ยป Yoruba adage says "A hawk plays with a pigeon and the pigeon is glad, what a pity, pigeon has been playing with death". Tell me who is speaking the truth_ Over to you.

Read well, they are two directly opposite adage. Abraham Lincoln means when u make friend with your enemy, you have destroyed him because he will not act as enemy again. while the Yoruba adage means you're in danger by making your enemy to become your friend
