Very good idea. I think we owners should incorporate that idea from now on. Owners do your part and make sure the cars you give out his in perfect state. And drivers too, before your collect a car ,make sure the car his in good state. I feel collecting security deposit should be the future . I wish Ogunvic41 and Romeo3 should encourage these idea.
If a driver sees a good car . And he wants to work. He will look for ways to come up with the money. After all if a pastor tells them to come and sow seed that their life will be blessed with riches. Trust me they will come up with the money o. Even better if they are offered green card to come to USA. They will look for money to buy ticket o. Let us not deceive or be deceived by ourselves o

So small sense dey dis dru boy head sef.

I will NEVER, I repeat NEVER give a driver a car without a minimum collateral of 1week, if he likes bring your property as collateral, I will make you sign an agreement that ensures if you default the property will be liquidated to reslove your issue.

WE pay insurance for cars upfront, service cars upfront, collect loans to even buy the car upfront. Minimum a driver can do is show some good faith and pay upfront, at least from the numbers available hardworking drivers make more money than partners.
Seat down. tongue
Security deposit doesn't solve the problem of driver default.
Interpersonal-relationship and understanding does.
Incentives and motivations does.

I can give u security deposit and still get it back X3 when moving on.
So it doesn't bother me a bit.

Most of the partners shouting security deposit have dead cars.
If you think am lying let them quote me

When an insurance company lives up to its obligations, I don't see anything wrong in putting it on the internet. Most times what we read about insurance companies is that they don't pay claims. Putting this on the internet give the insuring public confidence that their loss will be taken care of when the need arises.

How do you intend getting the security deposit x3, by removing the brand new tires and replacing it with dead tires? or steal something from the car? Dont worry the police are always available to make arrest, when you commit crime.

The only solution from drivers fraud, is the security deposit, there is no amount of relationship u build with a bad driver, his intention will always be to cheat you.

I know for sure you will inspect any car given to you, and Im sure you wont hand over any money, when you see a faulty vehicle.

For ur information, I have over 9 drivers that have been to my office, with their security deposits, looking for cars to drive, plenty of drivers are looking for cars, unfortunately, no enough cars to give all.

I agreed with you to some extent but also try and understand that drivers are not slaves but your business partners. Do you know how many hours driver works in order to meet up with 100k weekly. They work late and have sleepless night while they face danger of the road at odd hours while you are at home snoring with your family, they eat outside, they sleep outside and doesn't shower for days before they can meet up the weekly target and you are here saying HARD WORKING DRIVERS MAKES MORE MONEY THAN PARTNERS

Yes partners invest with their money and also need drivers in order to get their ROI. That's why I love Romeo and OGUNVIC policy, they have realistic policy for drivers just because they have also been in their shoe before. Who among you can give his driver wardrobe allowance but yes they provide that for their drivers without bragging here just because they want them to be happy working with them. You should all know that if partners are good and reasonable, drivers will be happy to work with/for them.

So you mean the driver intentionally crashed the car, that he was happy to have an accident. See all this thing is part of life and we have no power over it, we just have to accept it and move. Anyone can involve in an accident.

There are bad drivers, yes. But there are still good drivers out there. Not every driver wants to defraud you. Take it or leave it.

From your first sentence, Its obvious you lack lots of information.

As usual , all talk with no action.
Security deposit does not solve driver default.

Now go back and read my initial post. Slowly, this time.

Agree with u, good and bad drivers all have in Uber.

And nobody know who is the bad driver, everybody claim to be good.

But for u not to be their victim, don't believe anybody.

You see this bad driver issue will get some drivers jailed...Legally or Illegally.
I don't have a problem if something unexpected happens, but when a driver sets out intentionally to defraud a partner. Then poo should happen to him.
We are not playing here!

As If there are no bad partners. Is only drivers that are bad and all partners suddenly become saints. Why are you requesting for guarantors after collecting upfront payment? What about partners that won't fix cars and will suddenly collect his car from driver so as to get another upfront from another desperate drivers. I will keep saying it DRIVERS ARE NOT SLAVES. just because they are desperate to do something to put food on their doesn't mean you should take advantage of them. Remember you are only privileged than them.
