Hi bennybaby,I am not against what you said however,as a professional students you should have advised the person by stating the facts on both Ican and ACCA then you allow the person to decide what he/she wants based on the facts .

Hello my professional student, we need to protect what we have (ICAN) as a student and we shouldn't be comparing one body with ours. ICAN is for Nigeria, ICAEW is for UK and Wales etc. The fact that ICAEW will give date on which there result will come out does not mean it is in any way superior to ours. Let value and protect what we have. I wish my co students the best this coming week ahead.

Honestly! ICAN need to wake up from their slump.. They need to amend their way to catch up with International, they need to conduct their affairs professionally they proclaimed to be.
Especially this date of result needs to be fixed at consistent., it is very annoying to write prof exams and be speculating about the date of result. ICAN need to hear the voices of prof students.

My brother this is ICAN forum not ACCA. The way you replied somebody's request for materials shows you lack communication skills. I got my primary school and secondary school certificates in schools in Ajegunle Lagos does not mean it can't be accepted in UK or does not make it have global recognition and that if I need to work in UK I would need to go to UK primay and Secondary school to get recognised Uk primary and secondary school certs. ICAN is recognised globally. ICAN has dustrict societies in USA, Canada, UK etc. ICAN members are working here in USA with their certificates. If one can pass ICAN'S regorious exam then writing ACCA would be a work over, knowing that according to you one would have to see exams questions before the exam date.

You're mostly right. I however hope the Big 4 guy you describe above is not Taiwo Oyedele because if he were, you might be a bit wrong as to him no being an ICAN Chartered accountant.
