Cut their food and meat supplies if they do anyhow. They will end up begging
U are going to far!!! Food should never have been used as a tool for war!! I strongly advocate for one Nigeria. We have used tribalism to diminish our growth. A yoruba man won't allow a fulani man access because he feels marginalised or believes that more importance is been giving to a particular region forgetting the disaster that can be prevented from just allowing common sense and unity to rule

I don't get your point. Are you saying they have a right to destroy people's farmlands and butcher them coz they are 'nomadic'? What sort of rubbish and nonsense talk is that??

The common sense ojukwu lacked that made him greedy for Niger Delta Oil, thinking he could harness the region for Igbos alone.

Oil that was found in Nigerian territory for all Nigerians, one foolish bald goat decided it should be for him and his people alone.

If federal government is serious about ending the menace caused by cattle rearers then I would suggest the following which will make States like abia state regrets it's decision

1) federal government should encourage sells of packaged meat products

2) grazing reserve land should be allocated or bought from 6 States in 6 geopolitical zone by both government and private enterprise

3) grazing land should be adequately fenced and local indigene should be used as security

4) open land grazing law should be enacted with serous fine. Nobody should be seen with cattle on roads or Street

5) adequate transportation should be provided to move this life stock from one grazing reserve to another..

Most of you won't agree but if this my little common sense can be implemented I believe this could be the end of fulani attack.

Oga chill, am not saying as you mentioned. they are known by nature to roam about from one place to other, thus given them impetus to misbehave here and there. i think the solution is to keep them in a fixed place...Instead of them having freedom to roam about, they will be placed in a fixed place like IDP camp, with maximum security...

so what says you?

All of Sambisa forest should be acquired as Cattle colonies for herdsmen. This is simple since the place is a forest and already liberated from Boko Haram. Anything short of above have sinister objectives and should be resisted.

I am angry and sad at the same time!

So the only solution to incessant Fulani attack is to give up our land? What happened to deploying law enforcement agent to checkmate them? Primary role of govt is to protect lives and properties of its citizenry...... Ours has failed and to get any semblance of protecting lives.... They are giving out our properties as incentives to the attackers..... This is another low!

If there is any ranching at all.... Private investors should handle that and pay appropriate rent to the state

Our lack of vision in Nigeria too has left their occupation so lucrative for generations that we don't have anything to persuade them to leave what they are doing for a 'better' communal or ranching life style. Imagine if with our education and enlightenment, we have set up ranches and made success out of it and drive down the price of cattle or even build a virile export industry around it..... Fulanis would have embrace the improved method of doing things. Boycotting Fulani beef will be a difficult thing cos we rarely agree on anything in Nigeria but imagine a glut in their cattle market.... That can help us to get them to listen to the cry of the civilized populace.

Like I said even if the lands could be bought from the state government!! See the amount of land that was bought by churches in ogun state did any community person die about it!! Since they killed those people in benue have u out of annoyance stopped buying meat. Let's be truthful to ourself this is a product we consume daily and can't do without if this suggestions are implemented then I believe Nigeria is going somewhere. There are lands that can be bought for this purpose maybe state boundaries can be used.?? My suggestion is instead of towing tribal line.
a lasting solution should be our concerns
Would this leased land be fenced cos if it won't then you putting the host Community in danger
we will tame you serious if you call on the FG to come take your papa or family land for grazing with that we ll know you are serious Fulani

For someone to express his own opinion now makes him a fulani terrorist why dont you suggest your own lasting solution.
The solution is loading. The government enforces the law or the people resort to self help.
It does not take so long to to learn how to use AK 47. If forced to do so.

We cannot pretend there is no Ijawland or Yorubaland or Igboland etc.

If we create a grazing reserve then you are in effect carving out land for a new set of indigenes who are Fulani in states where they have no history
Can Ijaws go and fish in Argungu. They will populate these places with their kinsmen from Niger,Chad Guinea and elsewhere.
If you doubt this find out what happened in Adamawa. They seek to do the same in Mamhilad. All that talk of being obligate nomads is rubbish
There is no way to sugar coat it it is a land grab.
There is nothing wrong with land for business if it is for everyone not just Fulani.
See what is happening in Edo with I jaws.
If Nigeria was one ethnic group it would not be a problem but as it is and with the Jihadist tendencies of the Fulani it will only be a matter of time before the start loading Sharia across the Middle Belt
