BREAKING NEWS; REP Emmanuel Egwu SPIT FIRE ON CATTLE COLONY
IDAH FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY
Press Release

I, Hon. Emmanuel Makoji Egwu, on behalf of he good people of Idah Federal Constituency which comprises of Idah, Igalamela/Odolu, Ofu and Ibaji local government areas, wish to disassociate myself and Idah Federal Constituency which I represent in the House of Representatives from the purported establishment of a cattle colony in Kogi state.

My people are predominantly farmers. They fend for their families and loved ones through farming and Agro allied production. The danger of cattle colony in my Constituency is extremely alarming and is capable of resulting in avoidable farmers-headsmen clashes. It will generate severe crises between the Indigenes and the cattle colony masters, which will hamper economic and social activities. This may render our peace loving people vulnerable to unwholesome attacks.

The Governor of Kogi state and minister of Agriculture are hereby advised to rescind this unpopular concept and decision on establishing cattle colony in Kogi and Nigeria in entirety.

I solemnly sympathize with our brothers and sisters in Benue, Taraba, Kaduna, Adamawa, and other states that have been affected by recent violent attacks by cattle breeders.

God bless Idah Federal Constituency
God bless Kogi State
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Hon. Emmanuel M. Egwu (MHR), NASS

His opinion is heard but it doesn't move weight. The state assembly doesn't care and governor is on board. It's a done deal unless the state assembly intervenes.

Kogi indigenes should protest this foolish decision of Bello till he rescinds it lest we start hearing stories that touch.

Fulani herdsmen should embrace ranching like it's done in other climes.

Not so fast. Except the colony would be located in kogi central. No community leader in the other parts of the state would accept colonies. Just watch.

I'll watch go see if your correct. I do agree political pressure can from community could change their minds. The only reason ortom stopped being a sissy is because he likes his job enough. A little aside we dont even know where the plan on putting this cattle colony to begin with though.

They don't need to say anything na. Igalas and Okuns will have no problem as long as that useless Yahaya Bello of a governor establishes the cattle colony in his own Ebira land. He cannot try the nonsense of establishing a cattle colony on other people's land all in the name of being a Kogi governor!

Sorry to disappoint you, but some cheap and foolish community leaders can be bribed by the governor to surrender their lands for cattle colony!

I heard that your Okun brothers are about to make this terrible mistake!

No sane person will give his land to Fulani herdsmen to establish cattle colony except the sai barbarians.

I wish the energy they are channeling into this land grabbing scheme can be used in establishing more refineries, equip our hospitals, fix our schools and roads. But they are bent on giving out people's ancestral lands to herdsmen which will ultimately breed quarrels and fights in the future.

Forget what Yahaya Bello is saying, Igala land and Okun land won't be ceded to the Fulanis under whatever guise. The Ebiras are quiet for obvious reasons bothering on primordial sentiments.

“As they campaign vigorously for elections, you would think, they are coming to grow the economy, enthrone justice, breed unity and tolerance, love for one another.

No, they are coming to elevate Hausa-Fulani supremacy, to reposition the security agencies by sacking all competent hands and replace them with their kinsmen to drive their ethnic domination of the Biafrans, the Fulani herdsmen will be armed and encouraged to slaughter us with impunity, and their masters will protect them.

They are coming to ensure that my people are enslaved forever. Those who do not, believe me, will soon see it happen before their eyes.”
