Hello house, my hp all of a sudden stopped charging while in use but charges when it is hibernating or shut down. I have searched for solution, tried different chargers but no solution. Any suggestions will be appreciated please.

Am having same ish and am yet to fix it as well. bt frm my litle enquiry i heard it the charger. d best u cn do z plug it while it on and den sleep d pc. when u turn it on bak, it should b charging like that.. that d litle scope i scope for my own

tried but it didn't work

-------battery -------charger -------clean format
if symptom still persist......then its motherboard problem

It happened to me, I tried all solution none worked but as soon as I upgrade from win 7 to win 10, the issue stopped completely and it is now charging normal...

Have you looked into the advanced settings of your battery, that it's not set to charge at specific times & days ?

No, I haven't. Though I doubt it has to do with that since it starts charging the moment it is shut down or when it is hibernating.

Because when it's in hibernation mode or shutdown mode, the advanced battery management feature is bypassed........

The issue you are having is most likely a motherboard issue. See a technician . If you are in Lagos, call or WhatsApp 08164685979
