Npowerng is waiting for the Passage of the 2018 Budget before they can move with the 2017 pre-selected candidates.

Ignorance is what makes some people remain backward in life. I hope the day Npower continues with 2017 batch B you both can also know your reasoning is gone as well, I will quote you both by then.

Npower was captured in the 2018 budget which means money needed for payments for 2016 and 2017 batches are well available, and the same thing would still happen for the 2019 budget that Buhari would draft later on.

The first batch of Npower would complete their 2 years by December 2018, and the second batch would complete theirs in December 2019, posting for 2017 batch should be completed before January ends and it would mean 2017's batch 2 years would be from January 2018 to December 2019, even if Buhari doesn't win come May 2019, the money that was approved for the payment of Npower in the 2019 budget can't be touched and Npower volunteers would continue to be paid till December 2019 when their 2 years is over.

Now is all this too hard to comprehend? The only thing that could have affected Npower if Buhari loses in 2019 is if the program is beyond December 2019 when a new government might not want to continue it and hence not include it in the 2020 budget.

You guys should get adequate information before you criticise things. Most of them stating Npower 2017 batch is dead are just doing so out of frustration because they have waited and are losing hope.

I'm quoting you for record purposes, so that by the time 2017 batch kicks off in a few days time I'd be able to tell you how you were the one deceiving yourself, how you were the one finding it easy to accept ignorance. You don't have to reply me, just chill and see.

You just mentioned that it's starting by January, what about the statements attributed to npower that we are not going to be paid until we start work? In my opinion i think January is no longer feasible.

N-POWER Latest News On N-Power Posting List Of Verified Applicants 2018

Mr. Laolu Akande, Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity in the Office of the Vice President has revealed that 13 states out of the 36 states have submitted their physical verification list.

He said that 13 states have submitted the verified list of graduates who applied for 2017 Federal Government jobs, otherwise called N-Power.
Disclosing this while giving an update on the programme, Mr. Laolu Akande, stated that in some states, the graduates had been deployed to their primary places of assignment, noting that payment of the N30,000 stipends for the graduates would commence this month once verification and deployment are done.

According to him, the states include

Adamawa
Bauchi
Benue
Cross River
Gombe
Jigawa
Katsina
Kogi state
Niger
Plateau
Sokoto
Taraba
Zamfara
Akande added: “Under the N-Power Volunteer Scheme, the Federal Government announced the selection and engagement of 200,000 unemployed graduates as the first batch of the half a million the Buhari administration plans to hire for the 2-year paid volunteer job programme.”
