Chicken Colony

There Is need for Chicken Colony to make provision for private poultry farmers in Nigeria or do they need to start killing before Government will address their plight ?
Cow rearing is a private business and not in any way an arm of Federal Government Ministry . Hence it makes no legal sense to force the people to cede their land for private business owners . The Fulani herdmen need to upgrade to the modern method of cattle rearing not migrating from one location to another obtainable in the 17th century .

With all due respect to the Honourable minister of Agriculture in Nigeria I expect you to put forward a proposal on how to commence Modernized Cow Rearing in Nigeria , The Federal Government can provide a scheme for Loans to enable the cattle owners to access loan for building modern Cattle ranches in their own private land and property .
Of course the loan should be repayable within a stipulated time frame with 14% or 5% interest rate , nothing is free in business

How is this a joke ? The young man is giving valid points , If cows deserve colonies then we also need pig colony , fish colony , poultry colony and bushmeat colony for equity sake , no animal farmer can be considered more important than the other.

It's a private business so they need to keep it modernized and mechanised .

The question is opening the absurdity of the cattle colony idea, if a law is ill tot and secular in nature,its breed and reek of injustice.
Next is maize/snail colony, must we tell the whole world we are stupid?

ok but For now Nigeria remain a secular state hence our individual respective culture should not be supreme over the law of the country . In our culture formerly we kill twins but today we have adopted to the new modern laws

They have the right to free movement,you can't restrict them.One can always find criminals within any group.You should be blaming your security agencies for their gross inadequacies in performing their duties.

Like I said before,safeguarding of human life and properties is the purpose of the security agencies.Blame them if they fall short and don't infringe on the rights of an entire ethnicity based on a guilt by association plea.

The right of an entire ethnic groups does not include infringing on the rights of other ethnic groups in Nigeria . Fulani people are nomadic by nature. in the south other ethnic group are farmers by nature .
So when nomadic fulani takes their cows to destroy the crops of ethnic groups who are farmers by nature their will likely be a break down of law and order .

Good topic. If our forefathers could adapt from open chicken rearing to poultry where they are feed with specially cultivated corn, millets etc then I see no reason for cows not to follow the same global pattern.
In Nigeria, it is a matter of who calls the shot and not what's best for all.

Nobody is against the Fulani people doing their ancestry business . We are only pleading with the federal Government to in fact give those herdmen scholarship to travel to UK , Belgium , Russia to learn modern Cattle Ranches . Come back to Nigeria with the newly acquired experience and develop the Cow sector of Nigeria economy that we may become even exporters of Beef and cattle products all over the world
