Please guys I've been furstrated for the past one week. Anambra seems not to go through for State of Origin. Then I got informed by a friend that Rivers and Enugu has same issue. Please anyone from these states that has proceeded past bio-data page should let me know. Thanks
It went for mine and I'm from Anambra. Keep trying or call them up to complain. Their contact should be on the first page.

Good luck! smiley

Why not just help in giving a hint than writing that?

Hey all, just found this out, thanks to a friend that hinted me on visiting PTDF page.

1. Go to the original PTDF page using google search or click this link https://ptdf.gov.ng/2017-2018-ptdf-scholarship-scheme-overseas-local/

2. Click on scholarship and once the link is open, click on the + sign under Germany; the link to registering on DAAD is there (I do not know if it would work here) - https://portal.daad.de/irj/portal

3. Once open, register using your email, then, they will send you a link to activate registration.

4. Sign in after activation.

5. You will see different tabs which have the following Start, Project Funding, Personal Funding, Insurance etc.

6. There was nothing in Start but instructions of which I'd advise you read.

7. Click on Personal Funding and a list of suboptions will appear.

8. Go through the tabs on Personal Funding; for me, I skipped to Application.

9. Once on the Application tab, select Nigeria-German Masters Program 2018. (that's where I currently am and still figuring it out).

Note: as you follow the above, please, ensure you read properly and double check.

You're welcome. kiss

Dmainman, a little help needed here. Is it that we should just register with DAAD or are there certain things we have to fill (I downloaded the DAAD form and what I seeing there such as project supervisor etc. requires us applying ourselves). Please, modify your post on DAAD as the deadline is on 31st Jan.

There is a confusion on DAAD Application:
I equally downloaded the DAAD form, filled it and was about uploading 3 days ago when I called Flexisaf Support Staff who told me I should not do so, rather just to register on the website, whereas deadline for DAAD submission is Jan 31, 2018. Can this be cleared please

Is the personal statement a determing factor for selection too

I strongly believe the personal statement will count towards the selection of outstanding candidates from the applicants' pool. According to the information on the scholarship website, there are 4 criteria listed for assessment of candidates:

1. Academic merit
2. Membership of professional bodies
3. Viability of the study/research plan
4. Statement of purpose

If things hasn't changed, you should be fine with your student copy too.
That's what I uploaded too when I won it. In fact it's what I sent to my school when they requested for original transcript and they accepted it.
In all except it is explicitly stated that they require the school send the transcript to them, you'll be fine with your student copy

Good luck.

Hello sire,

The personal statement ish, does one need to summarize each courses, or just focus on the 1st course that was chosen.

I believe some scholarship schemes differ, just wanna know about ptdf's own in terms of what i asked

Thanks

If you have space, you can touch on all, however due to space constraint I'll advise you talk about the first choice more so you can have space to answer the other required areas asked too.

Add everything even if it's landlords' association (joking about this though). Essentially anything that can remotely support your application please add.

Remember you're in a competition with a lot of people and since there won't be an exam, all that will be taken into consideration is what you submit as part of your application.

Cheers and good luck

ur personal statement should be based on ur first choice that is why it is called first choice. if ur personal statement is good enough to get u ur first choice course/institution but u were denied for any reason ptdf would automatically help u secure ur second or third choice course, remember that this scholarship is in partnership with the relevant institutions so they are aware that u have 3 options for courses/institutions but just a space for personal statement. summarizing more than one personal statements all into one is a sign that the writer is confused because the idea of a personal statement to some extent is to let them know why a particular course is the best and nothing but the best for u even though when in the actual sense it may not be.

That is your own opinion. To me, it can only work if all the three courses and institutions are the same. Google

I would say it depends on the relevance of the professional bodies to your intended course of study and to your career and personal development. For instance, if you plan on specialising in a field of Engineering that focuses on Risk and Safety Management, then your professional membership in these two organisations will contribute immensely to your application. So if you feel that your professional membership has contributed to your career journey or has a connection to the intended program of study then it wouldn't be a bad idea to include it. You can even include in your statement of purpose a thing or two about the experience you have had as a member of these professional bodies, the impact it has had on your career and personal development and finally tie it to your future goals with the degree you will obtain with the scholarship.

Hope this helps. You can email me at ask@expressrefiners.com for assistance with your statement of purpose or research proposal.

The steps I've followed so far.
After logging in:
1. Click on Personal Funding that I have labelled "1" in the attachment.
2. Click on Application labelled "2".
3. Click on the little box by the side of the funding program that I have circled and labelled "3". A drop down of all programs will come up. Scroll down to "N". The program you're looking for is "Nigerian-German Postgraduate Training Programme Master, 2018" (There are two similar programs there, one is for masters, the other is for Phd). Hover your mouse cursor over each programme to know which it is. Select the one that applies to you.
4. Scroll down to the place labelled "4". There are two options, Doctoral Candidate and Graduate. Select the one that applies to you.
5. I believe the next step is to click continue but I paused to make this post.

I'll keep you updated as to how it goes

I have a question to ask about this transcript issue that we will present during the interview.

My school doesn't give transcript to someone at hand. I was told they will send it to the school or the body with new the address you will provide.

What will I do in this situation? Should I give PTDF address so that they will send it to them since they have not offered admission or since we shouldn't contact the school.

Or give them my place of work's address so that they can send it there then I can get a copy of it?

Pls I need your opinion here. Thanks and good morning
