What are the numbers that you can multiply with both 7.8 and 1.10 respectively and arrive at a figure that will be more than the sum of the two numbers you used in the multiplication?

Just go through the question again. from what you wrote above, THE SUM OF EACH OF THOSE SEPARATE MULTIPLICATIONS IS LESS THAN THE SUM OF 52.1875 + 24.375

its a combination of the products. for example: if you come up with 56 and 22 for each of those cases(1.1 & 7.8 ) it then means that whatever you get by multiplying each of them must be more than 56+22

Okay, here are what I found.

Multiply 7.8 by -3.4375 = -26.8125

Multiply 1.1 by -24.375 = -26. 8125

Meanwhile, the sum of -3.4375 and -24.375 is -27.8125

-26.8125 being greater than -27.8125

Am I right?
