Op, what kinda question is this?
Since when men carry church they speak how many lives them done change?
Yet the same church are preaching against marginalization of women in the secular world.
Where is their sincerity?

Seun:
1 Corinthians 14:34-35 (written by "Apostle" Paul)
“Women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the law says. If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church.”

1 Timothy 2:12-14 (also written by "Apostle" Paul)
“I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man; she must be quiet. For Adam was formed first, then Eve. And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner. ”

My interpretation: "Apostle" Paul didn’t believe that women should be allowed to speak in church or to lead men. He was a fervent Jew before his conversion and Jews don’t allow women to speak in the synagogue either, so he just carried his misogynistic views into the new religion.

If you believe that the words of "Apostle" Paul are the words of God, then certainly, God doesn’t want women to speak or lead men in church.

But Paul never actually met Jesus. He was not one of the twelve apostles. He was not Simon Peter, the rock upon which Jesus promised to build his church according to the gospels. Yet his writings and ideas have come to dominate Christianity. His words are seen as God's words. Wow.

Women constitute 50% of Human Creation and Men 50%.
Whether 50% of all varieties of humans should participate in the planning, coordination, control and reporting of the Gathering of Friends and Apostles of Jesus Christ, 'cos, that is what Church is, I say Yes.
Everyone that knows J.C. and accepts Him as Lord and Saviour is
a Friend,
the Righteous,
the Faithful,
a Temple,
a Church,
a Disciple and
an Apostle of J.C.
He or She has Rights, Authorities, Responsibilities and Privileges to plan, coordinate, control and report for Christ.
Mary Holy Spirit/Joseph was The Mother of J.C.
Mary Magdalene was a Disciple and an Apostle.
Jewess, Act. 16:1 believed was an Apostle.
Julia, Rom. 16:15 was a Disciple and an Apostle.
And many more Suffragettes of Apostleship of J.C.
HAPPY SUNDAY WOMEN.
BISHOPS, POPES, J.C. AND EVEN THE SUPREME SPIRIT ARE IN YOUR GRASP!!!

Good day nairalanders, I have an issue which I want you to help address.Earlier today daddy freeze made me to understand that women are forbidden to speak in churches (1 cor 14: 34-35).

As a novice that I am I went to a cousin who is also a pastor to explain why women now speak in churches but his argument was not convincing so I pressed further and he became slightly angry(he's way older) so I had to quit it.

Here I am, I want someone to kindly help me with a concrete explanation I'm really confused here... thanks and God bless
my dear sister, many of us are reading the bible today without understanding what we are reading, apostle paul was only speaking to a particular church at that time because there were no longer submissive to thier husband, the same apostle that said women should nt speak is still the same who said that if a woman wants to prophesy in the church, that she must cover her head, now if women are nt allowed to speak, then how can they prophesy?

God is nt an author of confusion, there are so many women that are doing great in the kingdom of God today, both in preaching and also in singing, jst imagine worship without the likes of sinach, cece winas, women of faith and so on..

You are not the first person to have observed this A lot of people have. The catholic church is playing a double standard here because outside Africa the women are allowed to come to church on trousers and not required to cover their hair when the chileans were preparing to welcome the pope I saw this and I was suprised.
That's because Europe is nominally Christian. A continent where GOD IS DEAD, more or less.

It's happening here too. God will die in Nigeria very soon. And we shall all be his murderers.

[God] should be killed. We created him afterall. [He] has outlived his usefulness.

I am not an atheist too. I believe in God and the Divinity of God. I believe that Christ is real.

Just like Seun wrote, Paul was a fervent Jew who carried his misogynistic views into the new religion, according to 1Cor.14:34-35 & 1Tim.2:12-14

Confirmed by:

Galatians 1:13-14 NKJV
For you have heard of my former conduct in Judaism, how I persecuted the church of God beyond measure and tried to destroy it.
And I advanced in Judaism beyond many of my contemporaries in my own nation, being more exceedingly zealous for the traditions of my fathers.

But that shouldn't be a problem, because he owned up that he gives his own personal opinion at times :

2 Corinthians 8:8 NKJV
I speak not by commandment, but I am testing the sincerity of your love by the diligence of others.

1 Corinthians 7:12 NKJV
But to the rest I, not the Lord, say:.......

Then he contradicted himself here:

Galatians 3:27-28 NKJV
For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

I believe the 'bolded' part above is more of Christ.

Christ never discriminated with gender, He related freely with Mary Magdalene, The Samaritan Woman at the well & the woman that was about to be stoned.

-Peace.
