Trailer Loads Of Fulanis Have Invaded Kogi West by Acidosis(m): 8:50am On Jan 27, 2018
On the night of Sunday 21st of January 2018, at about midnight, we got a report that a trailer load of Fulanis invaded our district. They were sighted along the road close to Iluke at the heart of Bunu district.

Bunu is a district in Kabba-Bunu local government area of Kogi state in Nigeria. Amongst her endowments is a large and fertile landmass, peace-loving people and a serene environment, despite the underdevelopment and apparent marginalization, especially in infrastructural facilities. Agriculture is the foremost occupation.

The innocent farmers, traditional leaders and even ,the vigilantes in the village had no prior information or knowledge of this strange migrants' movement into the town. They are in excess of a hundred, mostly women and children, they came in with their food, beddings, herdsmen's sticks, and other household things.

They said; they have a letter of authority (the letter written in Hausa language was sighted and was instructive to their relocating to our land for settlement from a certain seriki in Bwari AMAC and that their male adults were said to be on their way.

Another report said; they claimed to be going to another village within our district on the invitation of another seriki, but the said _seriki replied enquiry that he is not aware of their coming.

This worrisome incident happened, after the governor of Kogi State offered Kogi State to be the pilot state for the implementation of "cattle colony" and after various groups in Kogi including Okun Development Association, Bunu Peoples' Forum and Bunu Interest Group came out openly to say NO to cattle colony on Okun land.

The Nigeria constitution does not give freedom to a group of people to settle anywhere they like without consultation with the host community and modalities agreed upon.

We consider this invasion of Fulanis on our land a great security threat to our existence, especially farming, fishing, hunting, timbering etc at this crucial security moment in which the federal Government of Nigeria confirmed to have identified some terrorists in Kogi, Benue and Edo states respectively.

We, therefore, call on all meaningful Nigerians within and in diaspora, lovers of Bunu people, alongside international human rights and security bodies to come to our aid.

Bunu district, which is made up of forty four villages without a single functioning police station, talk much of an Army barracks. Only two villages have epileptic power supply, while our road networks are poor and nothing to write home about.

If the government can not help us, they should not compound our problems as we are law abiding citizens and don't deserve tension and hostile decisions as our dividend of democracy.

So this is how the sycophant called Yahaya Bello wants to "develop" Kogi?

I don't have much to say, but let me just drop a little piece. Whoever knows this Governor should please beg him in the name of whatever he believes in to retract his intentions. Bunu people are too peace loving, and unlike he (Bello's) constituency, they don't deserve this kind of "development".

First, Bunu is predominantly Christians, and the people are mostly hardworking farmers. Yahaya Bello hailed from Okene (Kogi Central), and his people, like the Fulanis, are predominantly Muslims and frankly speaking, they share similar orientation about life.

The world must know the havoc this man called Bello is about to cause in Kogi West just in the bid to please Mr Buhari.

While Bello and Buhari can never know peace in this life; my advice for concerned Kogi people is to do everything within their power (including rigging) to send both Mr Daura and Mr Bello back to their colonies. Kogi people, get ready to rig in your favour! Bello has stolen everything and will do anything for a comeback.

The Fulani militia you see today have many missions: first is to propagate the jihad agenda; second is to depopulate the "unbelievers", third is to take over the polls and polling units around Kogi state. All these are wrapped up by the vagabond in the guise of turning Kogi to Holland.

Mr. Yeye Bello wants to turn Kogi to Holland using illiterate Fulani militia. There are over 300,000 unemployed Kogi indigenes roaming the streets without job, including graduates from the Agric sector, but the best Yeye Bello could do is to import the worst of the worst stone age illiterates to come turn an almost desolate state to Holland? Omg!

Take your future into your hands and be ready to maim any APC thug come 2019. Match them and beat them at their rigging game! You need schools, police stations, electricity, good roads, not cattle colonies!

So Sad, that a Fulani Tribe has been killing and terrorising the Nation to extent that the Nigerian communities have become wary at the sight of them.
If they are not Terrorists then why are people afraid of them?

From what im seeing those guys have come to stay. They will even tell you how kogi was once under kwara while kwara is answerable to the caliphate which in essence qualifies them as the owners of the land.

See eh. Before oyibo came to West Africa, the hausa/fulani tribes extended across our borders into Sudan, Chad, Niger etc Many families and villages were divided by the borders that our colonial masters drew up. Today those cousins of present day Nigerians in these neighbouring countries see Nigeria like USA and for years have been pouring in here in droves. Now their "brother" Buhari is president they are coming in like never before and are migrating southwards.

This is the methodology the Dan Fodio and his groups completely overran the Hausa land. They came like the harmless and homeless beggars and suddenly became the landlords. Those who do not embrace the tenant of history are bound to commit suicidal blunders. The people of Kogi State you have been warned. You have yourselves to be blamed for having a Fulani mixed person as a governor.

It's actually not the fault of Kogi people really. Yahaya Bello wasn't elected but imposed on them by APC after the demise of the winner, Audu!

The thought of Yahaya Bello as a youth in power usually leaves me dumbfounded whenever people talk about youths occupying political positions!

the colonisation has started

why did yahaya Bello not give them land in ebiri land that has predominantly Muslim
population

but rather he choose the peace loving christian communities

he is sacrificing people's ancestral home on the altar of his political ambition.

I remember how people were jubilating in kogi when he won. if only they have known!!!

OP, I'll add this to your suggestions

The district needs to raise a local militia secretly.

All men there should stand up and not be weak pussies.

The elections are still far off and it won't take time for these Fulani invaders to announce their presence by drawing blood.

The Governor and Buhari knows what's up and I sharing a Fulani ancestry on my maternal line know that Fulani never back down from a fight to expand their influence.

I wish you victory in the fight that was brought to your doorstep
