Even if it is not a crime to negotiate hospital bill with the doctor, why can't doctors give room for negotiation?

Is it part of the ethics of Health workers not to negotiate? So we must pay any amount they say even if it sounds preposterous?

It is still classified as services and last I checked, services are negotiable

Because medical school was non negotiable.

On the other hand most doctors are a greedy bunch who care more about money than human life.

u negotiate b4 a service, if both parties come to an agreement, then okay, if not, then go to another hospital. If d doctors price is exorbitant, he didn't force u to accept it, there are numerous alternatives, go to another hospital.

in d case of emergency, u have to accept what d doctors says unless u or a relative was able to negotiate before treatment started............what about if after treating u after d emergency, u begin negotiating with the doctor, and u are offering to pay the doctor an amount less than what the doctor spent on you........hw do u think d doctor will feel, its situations like this that make doctors request for deposits before they commence treatment, even in emergency cases.


How would u feel if u buy drugs, blood, instruments for 60k and use them on an emergency patient and when d patient is well, he begins to tell u dat he cannot pay d 65k u charged him that its too exorbitant, and he offers to pay you nothing more than 20k.......hw would u feel.
