Luis performance is very epileptic. One minute he's world class, almost Canavarroesque, the next he is commiting schoolboy errors ala Titus Bramble. His better performances usually require the presence of a top defender with leadership qualities (like John "the asssshole" Terry, Thiago Silva). Sadly, we lack these sorts of defenders at Arsenal at the moment and the whole Arsenal system of play that is devoid of defensive structure would expose him even further.

Your last sentence, as much as Mahrez is a top player with excellent techniques and dribbling abilities, I'd say we have at least three players similar to him in the team (Ozil, Mhiki, Wilshere) so he isn't a top priority.
