Call Of Duty Video Games Ranked From Worst To Best by Nobody: 10:40am On Jan 31, 2018
Players have racked up over 25 Billion hours of gameplay, played over 18 Billion multiplayer matches and have respawned 1.9 Quadrillion times. These baffling statistics are a great way of demonstrating just how popular the Call of Duty franchise really is.
Like I said, the Call of Duty series is one of the biggest entertainment franchise on the planet – but which of the games in the series is the best?

Re: Call Of Duty Video Games Ranked From Worst To Best by Nobody:
10. Call of Duty 3
Call of Duty 3 earned a lot of skepticism right from the launch date for being the only game in the core franchise that wasn't released for PC, because the developer Treyarch had never worked with the platform before.

We enjoyed the story, the multiplayer was in-line with the other two games from the original trilogy, and gun mechanics were great back then, but it didn’t do much to stand out from either of the two games before it.

Re: Call Of Duty Video Games Ranked From Worst To Best by Nobody:
9. Call Of Duty: Ghost
CoD Ghosts is an easy choice for the worst Call of Duty game of all time. It was a rushed attempt at taking the CoD franchise into new territory. Ultimately, the multiplayer was filled with broken killstreak rewards and maps that couldn’t quite fit in with the usual flow of CoD multiplayer gameplay.

The game also performed terribly – despite being the first title on the new generation of consoles, it struggled to perform without problems and the PC port was the worst in Call of Duty history.
The only thing that I miss about COD: Ghosts is the unique Extinction mode.

8. Call Of Duty
It may be an oldie, but it's certainly a goodie as well. Even if 2003's inaugural Call of Duty lacks the sophistication of the later Modern Warfare games, it built the successful foundation which would be expanded and bettered by what would follow.

The most revolutionary feature in this ground-breaking FPS is the abandonment of the so-called "lone wolf" gameplay of most other WW2 shooters, in exchange for team-based action which, above all else, just made a lot more sense in the context of a war.

This team-based dynamic would ultimately come to define the series (not to mention the war shooter genre), and has made for a successful single-player formula ever since.

Even if the campaign is infuriatingly short and the multiplayer mode lacks the depth of the later entries, Call of Duty looked great, sounded great and played great (for the time, anyway), ensuring it scooped up countless Game of the Year awards, an honour it only shares with one other game in the series, Modern Warfare.

Re: Call Of Duty Video Games Ranked From Worst To Best by Nobody:
7. Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 3
It seems the Call of Duty developers always have a good run with by taking the franchise in a new direction. The sequel to this fresh new franchise is often good, but the third time around, things start to drop in quality.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will always go down as the most forgettable CoD game of all time.
The main problem with Modern Warfare 3 is that it was just not disntinct enough from MW2. The maps were pretty lackluster too. It had a lot to live up to after following MW2 as well.

Re: Call Of Duty Video Games Ranked From Worst To Best by Nobody:
6. Call of Duty: World At War
After the success of Infinity Ward's contemporary-set shooter Modern Warfare, it felt like nothing less than a giant step back to return to the wildly played-out arena of the World War 2 shooter, but Treyarch simply weren't listening.

Though their effort did boast the voice acting prowess of Kiefer Sutherland and Gary Oldman, the campaign was overall one of the series' least-memorable and the multiplayer, though bravely attempting to introduce vehicles into the mix just didn't pop with the frenetic surge of the previous game.

Perhaps it was the outdated weapons or merely the familiar colours and map designs, but World at War just played as solid yet at the same time uninspired.

On the plus hand though, it did include one of the series most popular elements in the ludicrously addictive Nazi Zombies mode.

Re: Call Of Duty Video Games Ranked From Worst To Best by Nobody:
5. Call Of Duty II
Until Advanced Warfare , all the previous core Call of Duty titles were developed by Infinity Ward and Treyarch. For their freshman effort, Sledgehammer Games did a pretty great job at delivering a genuine Call of Duty experience, while also making the game standout from its predecessors.

Call of Duty 2 took everything about Call of Duty 1 and made it even better. The single player campaign was more gripping and presented more of a challenge to the player.

CoD2 is still probably the hardest game in the series, thanks to aggressive, hung-ho AI opponents who aren't afraid to hurl a few pesky grenades your way. In short, this is the last game in the series that managed to serve up a campaign combining fun, difficulty and length (it took around 7 or 8 hours for even seasoned players to blast through) in one consistently brilliant package. Blowing s*** up in a snow-laden Stalingrad has never looked or felt so good.

Re: Call Of Duty Video Games Ranked From Worst To Best by Nobody: 11:09am On Jan 31, 2018
4. Call of Duty: Black Ops
With Call of Duty 3 and World at War , Treyarch seemed as though they were merely copying Infinity Ward’s work. When Black Ops came along, Treyarch finally found their voice, and became the premiere Call of Duty developer.

Call of Duty: Black Ops entered the video game industry with a fresh new story and great multiplayer to accompany it. To us, Playing Call of Duty: Black Ops reminded us of Modern Warfare 2 for the first time.

Black Ops added exciting Wager Matches to the multiplayer, featured an enthralling campaign, and also the best Zombies maps to date. Moreover, Black Ops saw the introduction of the extremely popular Nuketown map, which has been remade numerous times since then, and will be returning in Black Ops 3 as Nuk3town.

Re: Call Of Duty Video Games Ranked From Worst To Best by Nobody:
3. Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare II
Whilst not as refined as Black Ops II, Modern Warfare 2 paved the way for the future of online shooters. The ranking and prestige system in MW2 was perfect – the perks and abilities all mattered and choosing the right loadout actually meant something important whilst playing.

Looking back at it now, it was the first title that really gave players the opportunity to make meaningful gameplay decisions in multiplayer.

I also found the story in Modern Warfare 2 to be one of the most gripping in all of CoD history.

Re: Call Of Duty Video Games Ranked From Worst To Best by Nobody: 11:23am On Jan 31, 2018
2. Call Of Duty: Black Ops II
Black Ops 2 features a relatively great campaign and solid multiplayer (the fact that it still has 12 million concurrent players is a testament to this).

Black Ops II quickly made its way into the hearts of millions of CoD fans around the world when it launched in 2012. In our opinion, Black Ops II stands to be the most refined CoD game in all of history.

Furthermore, gone were the cartoonish villains of the previous titles: Raul Menendez was instead a complex, ambiguous figure enhancing the feeling that Treyarch were really up to something a little riskier here.

That's not all though: there's the insane Los Angeles-set action of the end-game, the strategic Strike Force mode, and of course, the unique Pick Ten customisation system which promoted more freedom than ever before. It admittedly didn't feature the series' best assembly of multiplayer maps, though in honesty, that Nuketown 24/7 playlist was enough for plenty of players by itself.

Re: Call Of Duty Video Games Ranked From Worst To Best by Nobody:
1. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
Though it may not look as great or boast as many features as the later games in the series, no subsequent game has excited and entertained players as much as the original revolutionary, Earth-shatteringly brilliant Modern Warfare.

It has a special place in the hearts of almost all CoD players, because it's likely the game that got them hooked on the series in the first place, and with its addictive, crack-like multiplayer suite, changed the landscape of both the genre and gaming as a whole forever.

It's surprising that it took a developer so long to take the RPG leveling mechanic and introduce it into the shooter genre, but Infinity Ward finally did it, and the results were glorious, such that pretty much every other online shooter, and numerous other genres (such as racing games) have also adopted this progression model.

The superbly cinematic single-player mode wasn't far behind either, helping take the FPS game to new heights, because who can forget the adrenaline rush of wandering aimlessly around the aftermath of a nuclear explosion, and of course, the intense slow-motion finale? It has in many ways been bettered by the games that followed, but no game in the series has quite held players in its grasp like Modern Warfare.

Note: Haven't played COD WWII that's why I didn't include it in the list

How would you rank the Call of Duty franchise? Shout it out in the comments!

Call of Duty 4 is the best in the series, imho. My friends and i still get together sometimes to enjoy the fun of the multiplayer. Second to that would be COD 2, i don't think any other game in the series had such an engaging story, maybe Black OPs 2?

COD Modern Warfare.

LMAO Ghosts? worst? You people must have played another game thinking it was ghosts, Ghosts had one of the best maps in recent history, shitty CODs were Infinite Warfare( why did I kill more robots than humans?), Black ops 2 was also crappy, they twisted the story too much.
But I agree, the best ever has been COD4, it was every COD player's childhood. But Ghosts worst? Never, by far the most badass game excluding Captain price and his coolness. I mean those guys were a legendary myth, Four guys take on an entire army in a baseball stadium? Come on brother grin That was badass, from the knife throwing to the slow mo killings and extreme fighting scenes, it was dope.

I don't play games online so, i can't relate with the map thing. I play games for the stories and Ghosts had the worst story of all COD games.
They made Rorke so unrealistically invincible. He's a trained soldier, not Captain America ffs.
Elias' voice acting was poor.
Logan was non responsive throughout the damn game so, it wasn't engaging. It didn't feel like an fps. Hell, even characters in Age Of Empires communicate when you click 'em.

I thought BlOps 2 was pretty straight forward. BlOps was the one with the twisted story.

Anyways... If you call a game crappy just because you thought the story was twisted then, we are clearly on a different page. Our interest seem to be miles apart

And BTW... Do you watch Nigerians films very well, or Chinese or Indian movies?

Different page it seems. Ghosts had a realistic story, Rorke wasn't that bad ass, he was a former ghost so he knows their tactics, making my point more valid is the fact that Logan and Hesh( new Ghosts he doesn't know anything about) were the only ones who could stop him, oh and did I forget to mention, he had an entire continent's army at his back , that answer your question?

And what does Nigerian movies or Bollywood have to do with this undecided

And the Guns and Drones from ghosts are the closest to what we have now in the 21st century compared to others, Modern Warfare too old school, Advanced and Infinite warfare to futuristic( we want COD not Star Wars undecided)

Ghost was a good game just not the best. And Hesh was the only thing exceptional about that game. Seriously though a game were your character doesn't interact not even in the fvcking cut scenes is super boring and annoying. Smh
And it is ridiculous to think Logan and Hesh even had a chance against Rorke. But I get it, it's the movie cliché, where a new trained agent saves the world from the bad guy even his trainer couldn't stop. Later came back and took Logan but, left Hesh alive for no reason whatsoever rather than for sequel sakes, i get it. But, that's far from realistic.
It's understandable that you love the game, but it has a lot of flaws in it. Offline

Advanced warfare was a great game. Thank goodness I didn't listen to Internet haters' bandwagon. And you sound like someone who chose a side from listening to them too cuz, they all say " if i wanna play a future game I'd play star wars or mass effect or Halo" despite the only thing that makes them similar to COD is the FPS, and you didn't like BlOps 2 because i hear them say it was half futuristic... Hmm i think you are one of them generation zombies (no offence)

I haven't played Infinite warefare but, i hear the story is good so, I'm gonna play it and I won't be surprised to find out that it was a good game because something seem to be wrong with me or this generation.

So you want to know why i think ghost is the worst of all COD? so here we go *Clears throat* *picks mic*

Let’s face it, everyone always complains about the newest Call of Duty when it first releases. Then, as time goes on people come to accept it. I’ve given Call of Duty: Ghosts several months to grow on me, and I still claim it is the worst Call of Duty multiplayer I have ever played. The maps are poorly created and made in such a way they enforce camping, which is the one thing everyone hates in Call of Duty,Yet Ghosts has made it entirely acceptable, in fact, camping is practically encouraged.

Talking of an intentional glitch of a weapon called the I.E.D.These insanely unfair devices which i call Cheats have a big blast radius that can detect people in any direction. There have always been mines in a Call of Duty game, but not like I.E.D’s. Claymores only fire in one direction and you can see the red lines. You can sneak around Claymores, and more importantly, you can’t throw them! there was a patch that nerfed the power of I.E.D’s by making your whereabouts to their location more precise. Jumping over an I.E.D on the ground or ducking when one is over your head should reduce the damage you take. I think it has made a difference, but I’m still calling them an overpowered camping weapon.

Let me start off right away saying this is not going to be some angry COD gamer rant. There are enough of those kicking around the internet. I am not the biggest COD player of all time, in fact, I prefer Battlefield over Call of Duty.

I’m not going to complain about the typical things COD gamers hate. Things like: shotgunners, riot shields, no-scopers, quick-scopers, jump-shooting, drop-shooting, aim-assist, throwing C4, hit detection, or any of the other hundred things people whine about when it comes to COD. I won’t attack specific play styles apart from one, and that’s camping. Now, there’s a difference between someone sitting in a window overlooking the map – which may be annoying but fair and someone lying down in a corner staring at one doorway the entire time or looking down one hallway the whole match. You know the kind of people I’m talking about. The kind who sit in one spot, get an I.M.S, then get a Sentry Gun after that, and refuse to move the entire match. People camp, it happens, especially when they are close to getting a killstreak. So I understand why it happens, but never before has a Call of Duty game supported campers so blatantly with gear and features.

Not to talk of how much i hate the I.E.D and Thermal scopes Now if you combine leaning, I.E.D’s, and thermal scopes, you have one grade ‘A’ camper. They will sit in room, toss out an I.E.D or two to protect their flank, lean around a window, door, or corner, and then use their perfectly clear thermal scope to shoot whoever they see. That’s not even including the people who lie down in a corner and stare at one doorway. This makes the game unfair for those who wants to run-and-gun, use shotguns, tactical knifes, or basically wants to move around the map (Yeah you cant move around freely unless you are in for some suicide mission). Not to mention that regular grenade damage has been reduced in comparison to I.E.D’s and C4, and tactical grenades are practically useless making it almost impossible to get those rats out of their holes. Ghost has tipped the favor so heavily towards camping that it is becoming the accepted norm in the game. There was a patch later on in the game on the I.E.D. I think it made a difference, but I’m still calling them an overpowered camping weapon.

That brings me to the other biggest issue: the terrible spawns. The game spawns you out of the immediate line-of-site from the enemy team, but there could be an enemy about to turn the corner, so it doesn’t do much good. I discovered that if I could survive long enough – not even killing people, just not dying – then I would be more likely to be in a better position to fight. When I die, the game spawns me in a horrible position that I can – and have – fallen into a perpetual cycle of death. Spawn, die, spawn, run, die, spawn, die, spawn, shoot, die. The game has some of the worst spawning I’ve seen in a long time.

I hope with the points ive given, ive been able to convince and not confuse you on the reason i think Ghost is the worst of its series *drops mic* grin grin grin

LMAO camping happens whether you like it or not, learn to act like an actual soldier and check your corners, people who are good at Cod don't see campers as a problem cause there are many ways to get rid of them e.g. throwing a sticky grenade or frag in their last know locations, and campers are the most vulnerable targets in a duel because of their confined locations, or simply flash bang their daddies.

And BTW know what you mean by campers, the fact that I like sniping doesn't make me a camper, if not there won't be snipers in the game. I love sniping btw gringrin#snipingnotcamping
