2018 JAMB UTME Registration Statistics: 1.2 Million UTME Candidates Have Been Registered. The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB commenced the 2018 Unified Tertiary and Matriculation Examination, UTME registration its spokesperson Dr Fabian Benjamin said the Board has within  registered 1.2 Million candidates.



About 1.2 million Nigerians have so far registered for the 2018 Unified Tertiary Matriculations Examination, according to statistics from the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board.

Speaking on the registration process on Monday, the JAMB's Head of Media, Dr Benjamin stated that candidates could pick a College of Education, the Nigeria Defence Academy or the Police Academy as their institution of first choice.

 
He also gave the assurance that the examination would not fall short of the expectations of Nigerians.

The examination is expected to hold between March 9th - 17th, 2018.

With the poor facilities in our public universities? What will they be learning with?

The earlier we start fighting for our children's future now, the better for us.

And only about half would be admitted,the rest are just revenue generators....smh

Jamb should be scraped.
Only 35% - 45% of candidates who meet the cutoff mark will be given addmission after collecting parents and hustling student hard earned #7,500+.

Jamb has just made over 6billion naira, d author of the book being read for English made over 600 million... Cbt centers made over 900 million... shocked

What a country, 1.2 million candidates registered for UTME, millions are there in tertiary institutions studying and millions are as well outside searching for job...

We only promote education but not promoting the effective applications of such education as well as an enabling environments for it usage.

Good day sir,this is the 5th time, I will be writing jamb,I passed all my previous jamb,2014,15,16,17 and scored 200,215,220,and237(unfortunately scored 44% in putme) but I was denied admission,I should have gone for predegree form but i am not financially stable,any body with strong connection in any university (excluding private) should please help me,I don't mind going to polytechnic, am tired of staying at home!!

The author of in dependence would have sold at a subsidized rate to jamb while jamb will increase the fee to its candidates. That 600million naira is probably for JAMB and not the author, I guess jamb would have purchased the book months before registration
