There are many things to do besides frying akara that can bring in money on a daily basis. With a population of 170+ Million people, Nigeria is a fertile ground for entrepreneurs who know what they are doing. It is possible to make more than 150,000 naira monthly frying and selling akara. It is possible. Do you know how much Buka operators make on a monthly basis? do you know how much can be made from a bag of beans in the akara business? People will eat and there are many workers coming back from work that will stop by to buy akara that they intend to eat at home with bread or soak garri with

I don't know what joy someone who has bsc, msc, even PhD join go derive in frying n selling akara or doing odd jobs that are meant for dropouts/ illiterates.

I am sure you have not sat down the entire day and watch them do business cos they definitely make more than 15-30k profits month. I actually saw a Documentary on CNN where a young Hausa boy makes more than 50k a week Selling Indomie... The Camera was rolling and so were his customers trooping. So yes, you can make very good income selling food
