I believe this.

Some of these trades we overlook make way more money than graduates.

The truth is that the university degree in Nigeria as a means of self sustenance has lost a lot of value.

If a graduate gets to NYSC and the society now tries to re orient the graduate to petty trades like bead making, make up, frying snacks and akara etc.....why not just delve into such after secondary school instead of wasting time, money and effort in school ?

Exactly.. I was telling someone about a woman at enerhen junction in warri. She sold banga rice and built an upstair from it. Make dem dey wear shoe, send cv and apply for jobs when their hand no go reach. Those who are not ashamed of hustling, would have kept certificate one side, and started making cool cash. A lady in Ibadan slices different fruits, puts it in plastic takeaway plates with cover and refrigerate it or use iceblock to cool the fruits. She takes it to offices around Ring road in Ibadan and sells each pack for 100/200 naira. She told me she makes at least 6,000 a day. Isn't that 120,000 for 20 working days?
