UncleJudax:Go and get your PVC first. If you don't vote, you are simply telling the present government to continue. Be optimistic. It will be difficult for FG to rig the 2019 elections because USA is closely monitoring them, remember they voted against USA in the Jerusalem declaration issue. Let's be courageous, go get hour PVC. |

PrettyCrystal:To avoid reprisal attack from the Fulani Herdsmen....abi? Never mind about the reprisal attack....bring it on and let's see if there is anyone that has monopoly of violence. Let the Military men go back to barracks and allow Gboko pple and the Herdsmen sort it out themselves. All along the ppl have bn crying and begging the government to help them, they chose to play deaf and dumb. Civility is not cowardice. |

PrettyCrystal:May God give this soldiers the good sense not to escalate the tension and crisis by attacking Gboko on a flimsy excuse of being attacked on arrival because it might set up a conflagration across the state that the army might no be able to contain Why the army will react swiftly on this issue but talks about due process in deployment of same soldiers to the local community attacked by herds men is beyond comprehension |

McTobe:You may be right but I also do not blame people who have different opinion about it. Have you forgotten that last year in plateau state when soldiers were deployed after something like this, the people taught the soldiers came to protect them only for the soldiers to disappear and the Fulani's came to butcher them. The survivors narrated the story and it made front page. Unfortunately PMB has allowed his tribalism to get hold of him. If he had spread the leadership of the nation's security apparatus among different regions, maybe there would have been greater control of things. What do you expect from the security apparatus where all branches are held by one region from Army, police, DSS, NIA just name it. These guys are likely to protect their brothers cos of sentiments. |

| Re: Soldiers Storm Gboko, Benue State After Killing Of Fulani Men. Photos by 12submarine(m): 8:12am On Feb 02, 2018 |
Themandator:The police had been there. Military troops deployment was decided by senate resolution or VP committee, one of the two after the police was deployed. |

frenzyduchess:That would likely be worse. If the South become self sufficient in the cattle production, they would have crippled the business of the Fulani's and they would not accept it without a fight. You would have given them the reason to go into full fledged terrorism. Remember that these people are naturally "born to kill" |

abouzaid:what else do you expect, of course they 're there to deal with the locals, the same thing happened in enugu, where the youths were arrested by the military for ploting a counter attack. all the service chiefs 're from the northern stock. bubu 've messed-up nigeria. |

12submarine:The army already reacted to the recommendations of the VP committee: it takes a request from the C-in-C to the Senate for the army to get involved. And besides, the topmost leadership of the police force has been ordered to relocate to Venue state and until they complain of inability to contain the situation the military is not expected to come in that they are the last line of defence. The above process has not been exhausted. The president has not written to the Senate to ask for permission to deploy troops to the state. |

No one is saying they have to ranch theirs ,we should be more concerned about breaking the monopoly the north has in beef supply, so the government and the north will have no excuse to send their vows down south in the name of supply EternalTruths: |

Then we will know it's terrorism and not communual clash that they are painting it. The worse we can do now is to sit down and wail. Let's start first and see. Saintp: |

It it will kill their business, and that's a start to restrict them to their region and if it boils down to terrorism, we can better tackled them, but first we have to break their monopoly EternalTruths: |

stefanweeks:Twist it anyhow you like but you and everyone knows the truth is that the army is to protect the locals because if the Fulani should come back they'd kill ten times much more in revenge. |

Awoo88:I have my PVC but i will not vote in 2019 even if i am in this country.!!.... .The stakes are higher and terrain more deadly and precarious, therefore i will not put my life on the line to salvage whatever is left of this country by then because some people were too stuuupid to see beyond their pretty noses..Jonathan and his admin can never be likened to this nightmare called buhari..I remember how i personally treed to convince people that Jonathan and buhari is like a disappointment (Jonathan)and a menace(buhari),therefore people should vote wisely, but for where?? ...How purpotedly sane folks will vote a wicked person half-wit like buhari whom my 4year old son is smarter than sef beats my imagination....Now that the mlk of plague has been spilled, people expect me to run around like them to salvage the situation in my own little way. I will sit at home or office, criticise and tongue-lash APC /buhari as much as i can, watching events as they unfold in the process...Anyone with a problem with that should come and beat me in my house...End of story. |

They killed Benue indigenes, the FG deployed IG to epicenter of the crisis to find a POLITICAL SOLUTION. They killed now, 7 Fulanis, soldiers were deployed to Benue. The question is, to what purpose was the recent soldier deployment? To the un-informed, it will be to maintain peace and order, but to those who know better, it is to brutalise, intimidate the Benue indigenes until they provide information of those who carried out the "justified" reactionary killings of the Fulanis. |

Sending soldiers is still a reactive response to maybe prevent immediate retaliation. Solution: State Assemblies should urgently make acts to create legal street/community policing. It's no use blaming incompetent democratically inept Buhari. |

Whether IG relocates, dislocates or whatever, it won't change a thing. IG knows that he dare not use lethal force against herders. So he and his men just tacitly avoid herdsmen altogether. Why relocate to fight herdsmen whoen he knows Buhari has no intention of doing anything for real? |

namdo:Are you not surprised that many Northern governors went ahead with Sharia law without FG approval, yet governors have not deemed it fit to defy FG and create state police (proper police, not just yeye policing quango) to protect their own people? FG defies law courts' orders routinely, governors/assemblies should do same to FG. What is good for the goose is good for the gander. But we have spineless "monthly oil money allocation" governors and inept/corrupt state legislatures. |

Masterclass32:When fulani kill other Nigerians, it is a communal clash that the police can handle but when the fulani are killed it is a security crisis that needs to be checked immediately by the army. Is this how to run a country? |
