According to a BBC report at the time, a series of photographs emerged after armed robbers attacked a bus on the Lagos-Benin highway. The victims had reportedly been made to lie down in the road and then the bus driver was ordered to run them over. Here is a report by BBC at that time http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/8550536.stm
