Why do God allow bad things to happen to Christians
It's really annoying
Don't mention Job

If bad things never happened to Christians, the whole world would have noticed it and converted to Christianity. That would have been boring, so God decided to spice things up by allowing Christians to experience misfortunes randomly, just like non-Christians.

It's just because God is an illusion.

Apart from your family and friends, nobody else got your back. there is no sky daddy out there watching over you.

Make the best out of your life so that when death comes calling you won't have any regrets. You have only one shot at this cause yolo.

cheesy ;DKeep doubting and analysing. Religion, voodoo , witchcraft, spells and curses, charms, incantations and other world mysticism are ridiculous garbage. They are all facades and falsehoods - - - - lies all the way. All you have are the laws of nature which can never be suspended.

Good sarcasm there. You should however know, that not everything that appears bad is truly bad. if you were raw gold, and a goldsmith subjects you to intense heat for long, it may appear to some, and even yourself, that he is putting you through the worst experience ever, whereas in the real sense of things, he is actually refining you for utter brilliance.

As a Christian, God never allows bad things happen to you. Apart from salvation that Jesus came for, he also came to guarantee all other forms of well-being for us as Christians. So every and all things WORK TOGETHER FOR OUR GOOD AS CHRISTIANS.

Hope your day went great.

We've all doubted God one point in our lives, the problem is some people go too far in their doubt it transforms into pure madness

It's to build your faith. You know we're in the end times and things like this happens so God can decide if you deserve to walk the streets of gold and live in the mansion above. Keep praying if in doubt sow more seed and check your tithes. It worked for me.

I must say this is the best comment you have ever made even though you were being sarcastic.

Sometimes people ask the wrong questions. God did not promise that Christians wouldn't face problems. Jesus Christ was persecuted and killed so why shouldn't we face troubles?

Statistically, you lots should face less problems compared to those of other competing religions and non theists but that doesn't appear to be the case

Yahweh does not exist. He's a man made construct.

The argument that God allows bad things to happen to make Christians better people fails to explain why God often allows Christians to die as a result of their sufferings, which gives them no opportunity to display the “utter brilliance” that they were “refined” for. How did being roasted alive in a plane, which she certainly didn’t deserve, make Bimbo Odukoya a better person?

Numerous Christians have been raped and murdered, died of cancer, died in car accidents, died in childbirth, died of malaria, etc. Can you explain how things “worked together for the good” of these dead Christians?

One person may have suffered a plane crash for some reasons, but it's wrong for anyone to conclude that it was God who dealt them that. When there are occurrences like that, I just know, there's more that needs to be known than is obvious, but God's ways remain unchanged.
Look at Joshua in the Bible, he had conquered many big towns, and one really small town put him to defeat, if it was Seun, the conclusion would have been that the possibility of that defeat proves the non-existence of God. But this guy knew differently, he made due consultations and got to the root of the problem.

I don't deny that there are christians who suffer these things you have mentioned. some even suffer more-poverty for instance. But there are two things maybe 3, that I can attribute this to:

1. A whole lot live in ignorance. You just have to observe their prayer patterns and actions to see how way off they are. Someone needs bread, but is totally unacquainted with the principle of sowing and reaping. You won't blame God for his penury.

2. Passiveness: remember that scripture in James you mentioned about Faith without works.

3. Sin: it's not just that God punishes you for it. Its effect in most cases is that, it deprives you of God's presence, given His holy nature which makes it difficult for Him to behold sin. Now when you lack God's watch, you basically become vulnerable to all forms of forces- natural and supernatural.

Please try to consider that one month stuff I talked about. I hope you saw it. Have a stress free day.

Thats called the baptism of suffering, Jesus said if any man will follow me let him take up his cross and follow him, you cant follow God without difficulties, If you check the book of 2cor 11:22-33 you will see how Paul listed how he suffered, even Paul suffered, we being Christians gives us more reason to suffer and endure it cos the end is always brighter, the bible says that knowing the joy that was set before Him Jesus endured the cross, if even Jesus could suffer, how muvmch more we christians, there is ALWAYS joy at the very end

can you explain how things worked together for the good of stephen who was stoned to death or John who was beheaded or John the beloved being abandoned on the island of patmos, infact some of the times its cause we are lazy, after James was killed by Herod and he imprisoned Peter to kill him, that was when the other disciples eyes were opened, probably Peter would have been killed if they didnt pray. Remember Paul said to live is christ, to die is great gain, death is nothing but what we give it

Those are valid points; and the reason many people wrestle with the concept of an "all good being" whom allows such evil even to those who cling to this being day and night.

The thing you need to keep in mind though is this: WE ALL MUST DIE SOMEDAY! IT IS A MATTER OF HOW, WHERE. WHAT MAKES IT EASIER TO DEAL WITH AND SHOULD BE YOUR MAIN CONCERN IS LIFE AFTER DEATH. THAT ONE IS FOR ETERNITY. Christians are not exempt from the 'fallen' & evil nature of this world. That was the verdict or sentence handed down to ALL of humanity from our prehistoric Adam & Even. So, we must still experience pain and suffering. Jesus didn't come to take pain/suffering away but to offer hope of eternal perspective

When compared to eternity, how you died is quite irrelevant. And who is to say, that the soul of these believers who die horrible deaths do not depart so they don't experience what we consider "painful" deaths. It's just the physical body burning, the spirit man is gone back to its maker for Judgement.
Reason and argue and fight your way against God as you wish, but we all must die someday, somehow and meet our maker one day AND face the FINAL verdict for all eternity.

Make peace with that- and live life as well as you can, then pray you are prepared to depart life as it is scripted (or predestined) for you.

Finally, might I also submit to your consideration: philosophically speaking, perhaps your understanding of 'working it out for your good' and 'refined in the fire' is limited & short sighted. ......for my ways are not your ways (Isaiah 55:cool. Jesus said, If your eye causes you to sin.....take it out..... It is easier for a poor man to enter heaven than a rich guy..... Also read the beatitudes.... blessed are those who mourn, who suffer for righteousness....

Consider that maybe, the rewards awaiting after life is at last 'working it out for my good'.
