Thanks to my father who made education a priority for me. All the beautiful and enriching experience I would have missed out if I had gotten married early. Thanks to him, I have a job today that I love, financial freedom and a curious spirit. Many of my peers who married early look ten years older than me and are already bored with their lives.

My words are not futile in a society where religion replaces reason because at the end of the day your friends that look older than you will be retired from child rearing while you still rearing kids 10yrs after them. they are bored because they do not know they will do to spice up their marriages.

Officially we're married, cos I finished paying how dowry and the celebrations was still ongoing in her family house when she left to go sleep with her boyfriend. So technically, she's already my wife and mother of my son. I never cheated on her, all the years we dated.
