Prophets of doom. When you have a bad vision about a person, you take it upon yourself to pray and cancel such visions. That's what genuine prophets do, and not by allowing it to happen in order to prove a point. If God allowed you see that something bad would happen to someone then he also gives solution(s) to such problems.

Intercession and canceling the impending doom is the proof of a true prophet. Why would God show you an evil that's to come? Isn't it that so you can pray against it and do the needful? God was to destroy Neniveh, the people repented and hence God didn't destroy them. God destroyed Sodom because the people didn't repent nor heed to the prophecies. Pharoah's case was the same too.
