These are why I am no longer comfortable with our churches

Men relaxing their hair with fake accents and fake lives.
The following statements:
"if you are poor, you are cursed"
"Thunder fire poverty"
"It is my duty to give him gifts on Easter day"
"It is my duty to give God the biggest chicken and yam for thanksgiving, notwithstanding my earnings since it is a just sacrifice for God"

Constant begging for money.
Living large while the congregation looks they are living in want.
Zero recognition for the needy while the wealthy are constantly prayed for.
Mummy and daddy business
Unsolicited Prophesies that almost always spells doom.
Labelling every natural phenomenon as spiritual (this is the most irritating to me)
Recycling incredible stories on pulpit that defies reasoning.
Last but not the least(and the most painful) leading to demise of my patients that would have lived had they taken their drugs like instructed.

many churches now don't preach the world of God,the only thing they preach about is prosperity, which is the only thing the flock wants to hear, that's why they will always fall for the scam of these pastors.

I stopped going to church when I suddenly realised that 98% of billionaire pastors in Nigeria come from one particular
tribe that are known to be prolific liars. I just found myself questioning aloud "how can God be appearing and speaking to
people mostly from this tribe who are known to be very dishonest"? Na that day I know that church na business, and that was almost 20 yrs ago.

You do not choose a Pastor. God does that and directs individuals to their spiritual head/covers (Pastors), only if we will be humble and listen to him.

Jeremiah 3:15 KJV
And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.

May God open the eyes of our youth, of our daughters and sons and of our relatives to GET THE HELL OUT OF THE CHURCHES of these CROOKS calling themselves men of god while scamming the poor, oppressed , desperate and gullible

Good news, keep it up.

I stopped going to church when I discovered that
1. Pastors are crooks and just using churches as a means of livelihood

2. God doesn't exist, but just an imagination of humans that someone would have created the world, so bandit several stories all around the place

3. Prayers don't get answered, 80% of people who take their prayers to church don't get answered

4. When I taught that, Christians and Muslims can't be serving the same God, so, it's either one religion is fake and the other is original or both are fake (which is likely)

It's so sad that people have stopped going to church because of their pastors. No wonder the Bible says: Judgment Will Start in the House of God. Not in the shrine, not in the house of the murders, not in the house of ritualists but in the house of God.

But I still don't understand why some people will stop going to church because of their pastors, are you going to church to worship God or Pastors.

The reason why many do not attend church is because the love for God is depreciating. If pastor A cajole you to donate car for his wife, kindly carry your bible and leave such church. The truth of the matter is that many persons like to attend churches were they preach what they want to hear. In doing so,many ministers who are hungry will capitalize on that to siphon money from gullible members. There are churches that are after the salvation of souls of members but you see fewer persons attending there because the messages are not palatable to the ear. Many are uncomfortable with such churches hence they are targeted "holy holy people".

How many churches preach the gospel according to Jesus Christ today?

The pastorpreneurs are slowly realizing that you can fool some of the people some of the time but you cannot continue to fool all the people all the time.

I can see that you are very horrny and I will not blame you, the weather is cold and your engine needs to be serviced. Let me work on it, I will change the engine oil first before I put my shaft inside. I will not come inside unless it is very slippery and too sweet shocked

Religious belief is an invisible security blanket for insecure individuals.
Closeted minds will continue to allow brainwashing and indoctrination by religious leaders that there is a 'god', and there was a 'jesus', in order that the people with closed minds allow themselves to be controlled so that the various Corporations (churches) remain profitable as the tax-free money continues to roll in.

i have notice how jump from thread to thread laughing at people who believe in god. Several times i try to make you reason objectively but i discover you are more brainwashed by science than those with religion. What did science teach u is the origin of life force?
