Dandsome:Im a southerner by birth and only came to visit kebbi state due to NYSC. I was done with service since early last year but I'm still here in the state. This is basically due to the opportunities that abound here. I guess u are a southerner and a proud one for that Matter judging from ur comment I can say that kebbi state is one of the states with the lowest level of youth unemployment.come to kebbi state and u wud hardly see a jobless graduate. Most students of secondary school have their names in the payrolls of local government area and are smiling to the banks. I work with an NGO that partners with the state government in solving the menace and I must confess that we are loosing it in the south. Pride wan kill us. We think we have it all but we are loosing it big time. |

amongst those elected in 2015, this is the best so far. He understands what governance is all about. I remember there was a time he defended his people against dangote. God continue to bless you as you lead right. |

MRAKBEE:You see the problem with we Nigerians is that we don't read. Even when we read we don't understand what the person wrote and then we begin to spew things up and down. Now go back to what I wrote earlier and see if I condemned the state in anyway for you to start this your unwarranted epistle. I said the state has not been in the new for either a good reason or a bad reason. The state is just there. So my know-it-all that is the first southerner to go to kebbi state continue with your sermon. And if you must know, I'm more of a northerner than you are. Cheers |

CeoNewshelm:For a country with incessant fuel scarcity issues I don't see why we don't use E85 in our vehicles and generators |

amazon14:When you eat lake rice remember to thank him. Many governors are working tirelessly in Nigeria and the kebbi governor is one of them. When did you hear of him running to Abuja or saying something daft in public. Kebbi for those that are not aware is along the Niger river with rich fertile lands |

Icon79:You are the deluded one here, Biofuel has been big in many oil producing nations for decades now and Nigeria is the nation that has not caught on. Brazil are a major oil producing nations yet most people there use E85 in their vehicles some even run 100 % ethanol. We can use it to fire our generators, many large factories ins Brazil use the sugarcane chaff that remains from ethanol production formed into bricks as solid fuel to run their furnaces or boilers. In Nigeria we have this stupid disillusion about petrol E85 is available in certain fuel stations in UK, US and Japan you simply roll up to the fuel station and fill up on what you want. Race drivers use E85 because the ethanol component cools down the combustion chamber |

Well, you can keep exposing your ignorance while calling people names. You're suffering from what I will call the Nigerian problem of poor education (aka half education). And like my grandfather would say "half education is dangerous". When I was growing up, my elementary school principal have this saying "A mistake in London is a style in Africa". A typical Nigerian, you heard about ethanol, decide to jump in and swallow the whole thing line, hook, and sinker ... years after the pioneers are already moving on to bigger and better things. Meanwhile, let me offer you some free education. Most advanced countries including the United States and Brazil are already transitioning out of the 1st generation ethanol - that is, the so called corned based and sugarcane based ethanol that Nigeria is gradually planning to introduce simply because they realized that using corn or sugarcane for fuel isn't the solution. Even Al Gore has admitted that the First Generation Ethanol was a mistake: Total ethanol subsidies reached $7.7 billion last year according to the International Energy Agency. In fact, biofuels worldwide received more subsidies than any other form of renewable energy. Gore argued that "It is not a good policy to have these massive subsidies for [U.S.] first-generation ethanol". Gore went on to say that “first-generation ethanol I think was a mistake. The energy conversion ratios are at best very small.” Gore now supports so-called second-generation technologies that do not compete with food — using farm waste or non-food sources such as switchgrass to make ethanol. Icon79:And there is your error trying to educate someone who is learned with technical knowledge about ethanol and bio fuels. Brazil still uses over 90% of its sugarcane produced for Biofuels the story is very different in united states where the primary source is maize. Al gore is known to promote a green renewable energy policy, Biofuels are not green but rather a more efficient way to use gasoline. There is nothing like 2nd generation Biofuels the only things that have changed are the processes. Please do not misleads Nigerians E85 is definitely a way forward in these fuel scarcity times |
