I would have helped but I can't remember the complete principles for solving partial fraction of that kind and De moivre's expansion. but the second question should actually be determinant of the matrix

solving its det. and factorizing the results will lead to the prove

why not ask maths students in 100l or 200l in the school you are to help you or post it in maths clinic (thread on nairaland) surely it will be solved
