We know I am is Yahovah, here is another verse showing that Jesus is Yahovah, verse 6

 
Joh 18:3  Judas then, having received a band of men and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees, cometh thither with lanterns and torches and weapons. 
Joh 18:4  Jesus therefore, knowing all things that should come upon him, went forth, and said unto them, Whom seek ye? 
Joh 18:5  They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am he. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them. 
Joh 18:6  As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground.

Jesus referred to Himself as I am, Himself being God(Yahovah), a number of times

Mar 10:18  And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.

Mat_20:15  Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good?

In d same John 1 in verse 18 it states: ''no man hath ever seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, hath declared Him''. Now, how does that go along with OP's interpretation of John 1:1?

God in that verse is referring to the Father
when Jesus was baptized the Father wasn't seen but His voice was heard from heaven

John 1:1 doesn't conflict anywhere there

John 1:1 in the beginning was the Word
and the Word was with God
and the Word was God
