nurseafrica:
What course were you offered. Bsc or msc. I guess your A BNSC holder and they gave you MSN. MSN is the most useless course if u want to register with Australia board of nursing. It's hard to change to a good program even after 6months. Reasons being that DHA=DIBP has officially stopped downgrading from higher AQF courses to lower AQF courses. Google . Downgrading ban from higher AQF to Lower AQF by DIBP.good day guys
please i just discovered that my admission with uni of western sydney will not qualify me to register with OZ board of nursing.
please i will like to know if it will be possible to exit the program after the 1st semester for another uni that will give such opportunity, thanks

Sorry about the delay of the timeline
I applied to RMIT (June/July intake)-Feb 2017
Got admission-June 2017
Medicals, Biometric and Visa application-June 2017
V.O requested for Canadian visa refusal Explanation, SOA, WAEC Scratch Card-July 2017
Additional information Uploaded –July 2017
V.O requested for late arrival letter to be uploaded due to some delay from RMIT I had to defer to the next intake which was Feb. 2018.
Naso RMIT refuse to give me new COE because school fee has been revised and the money in the previous SOA doesn’t meet the new revised school fees requirement. My agent mailed and called trying to convince them but all they want is to see is new SOA which must meet the new requirement and V.O keep requesting for this updated COE for like 1.5 months. He/she keep sending mail for the updated COE like every two weeks ( am sure he/she wanted to grant me the visa then but the hustle for the updated C.O.E. no be here ooooo )
I had to apply to university of Adelaide when RMIT refused giving new COE. Bear it mind that V.O is still waiting for this new COE. I think the V.O was forced to denied the application with the reason that there was no valid COE only. I just dey vex say which kind wahala school be this ,but them no force me to apply for their school na grin grin grin and my vex no even cross Muritala airport. Naso I gba kamu grin grin grin
Adelaide gave me the new COE and I reapplied -21 Dec. 2017
Biometric -22 Dec. 2017
V.O requested for Canadian visa refusal Explanation-02 Feb. 2018
Additional information Uploaded –09 Feb. 2018
I keep checking my status like 5-10 times daily because school resumes 14TH Feb. 2018
Checked visa status 3:00 pm 15th Feb. 2018
Got a call from my agent 3:17 pm 15th Feb. 2018 my visa has been granted.
Didn’t believed because I just checked like 15mins a go. I had to log in to confirm.
As in I see am ehenn, I just dey laugh smiley smiley smiley smiley for work like say I win 1 billion dollars lotto.
For every one that is still waiting for his/her grant just stay optimistic and be prayerful.
It will surely end in praise

Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Amy3090: 6:15am On Feb 16, 2018
Again, did you or your agents contact them in anyway(email or calls) during the period of your wait?

Please answer oooo.

I share in your joy, congrats.

Hi Fam,

Pls, I want to get this straight.

1. After one's MS, is it the master's program that would be accessed in view of PR or it is our Nigerian first degree?

2. Heard it is easier to land PR when you're already in Aussie as compared to if you were in Naija (all things being equal. How true?

3. Does the MS course studied Aussie influence the PR process?

Thanks guys

I created a new imm account and I imported the application using my details that was sent to me after applying.
I just observe the app and let the agent do the whole uploading

Visa processing time update. No much difference. Additional 4 to 5days added to higher education and that of post graduate research was reduced from the initial days.

Lets all be hopeful.

1. Your Australian degree/ Certificate is what will be assessed by your professional body in conjunction with your Nigeria first degree depending on your professional body mode and criterial of assessment. Please visit the professional body in charge of your profession to get exact criterial of your assessment.

2. Either ways, you can achieve what you want depending on the timeline.
You can achieve your PR dreams through Student Visa, immediately after your program or before your finish your program you can start making arrangement, gathering the necessary points, documents, Enlglish proficiency test, evaluations and paying the necessary fees for that. This particular one is not cost effective because you are going to pay tution fees to be able to gain access into the country through Student Visa and on the completion of your program you pursue your PR ambition.

You can achieve the PR by going the route of Australian Skilled Migration.
Please visit the link below to get all the necessary information needed. This particular one is cost effective. You are not going to pay school fees in pursing this apart from the necessary fees and evaluations process by your professional body.
https://www.nairaland.com/3053069/general-guide-australian-permanent-resident

Also be guided by making sure that the program/Course you are going to choose is listed under the Medium/long term Skilled Occupational list for this PR to be visible.

3. Not just MSC, all the programs studied in OZ influences the PR process. Just make sure that this course is listed under the medium/Long term skilled Occupational list.

Always do the needful and pray OZ land favours you in all ramifications.
That's my input!..
