The President is not under any obligation for financial disclosure of the cost of his treatment. Whoever that wants to know must be wishing to be afflicted by same illness.

In medicine, there is this phenomenon called patient-docyor relationship. Except you can show that all that is related to the illness affects you one way or the other, you cannot seek knowledge about the illness. The constitution realises this hence there was no provision for such disclosure. That you have internet and unwarranted freedom doesn't give you the right to troll our President on such personal issues.
You are a confirmed mad man .....people like you is the reason this country remained stagnant and can never move forward

Let's have patience. By this time next year, when a new government of a new Party takes party, all shall be revealed.

Mr Man, what's the relationship between patient-doctor "relationship" and what the group are requesting for?
Besides it's call Patient - doctor confidential or privileges and not whatsoever nonsense you wrote there.

In your 'rich world', I guess "change" means indulging in the same wrong practices?
What a waste!

You are very wrong in your assertion. The patient-doctor confidential or privileges entails non-disclosure of illness or cause of illness by THE DOCTOR, not expenses spent treating the illness by whoever paid for it and in this case, the Nigerian tax payers.

The CBN was simply asked to provide details/records of monies spent on his illness and the parking /hanger space cost of the jet which was parked for over 3 months in another country attracting doumorage daily.

Are the CBN officials doctors? No; so they can't provide details of his sickness; but in the same vein, they are in charge of the nation's purse and financial records... So providing such records is actually very necessary in their position. Understand something before you comment before all this bad mouthed nairaland people use mouth lick u finish

Freedom of Information Act
2011
Laws of the Federation of Nigeria

14. (1) Subject to subsection (2), a public institution must deny an application for information that contains personal
information and information exempted under this subsection includes –

(a) files and personal information maintained with respect to clients, patients, residents, students, or other
individuals receiving social, medical, educational, vocation, financial, supervisory or custodial care or
services directly or indirectly from public institutions;

I hope all the blockheads quoting me all the while and their like-minded minions can after reading the above excerpts from the FOI pull aside their gab of foolishness and illiteracy and explain to me the meaning of this section of the FOI Act.The hardest thing in social media is trying to educate a pack of Itis and Zuwos.

Get your PVC and stop complaining, we will meet them at the polls
Getting over PVC is one things but how do we ensure these northerners do not invite the whole of Niger republic and their underage children to vote ? that is a major problem.

as usual, those in support of pmb totally miss the point.

while the CBN has a right not to disclose certain information under the FOI act, 2011, the fact that pmb was insistent on 'transparency & accountability' mandates that he should even be the one to make available the information.

I recall when GEJ stated that he was not under obligation to reveal to the public, his assets, since the CCB act was silent on that... the same people that crucified GEJ for not releasing the records to the public (which he later did) are the same people now defending pmb.

& that's the reason why pmb's anti corruption stance is a sham & his supporters are hypocritical nitwits. for them, as long as pmb does it, it must be right.
