JOB TITLE: JUNIOR TESTER CODE: JTP 001


TENOR  3-6 months (Could be extended)

JOB FUNCTIONS
• Writing cases, to gathering data, to performing the actual testing.
• Review, extract and analysis requirements
• Writing/updating/versioning/reviewing of test cases
• Validation of comments on documents, and the ability to selectively incorporate these comment
• Test data collection/generation prior to testing
• Execution of test cases and recording of test results
• Recording of anomalies in test cases/changes/updates that need to be made
• Logging of incidents picked up in testing, and re-testing of these defects
• Progress and Defect reporting and feedback

EXPERIENCE
               The Candidate must have at least 5 years experience within a manual testing role
               2 to 3 years experience with HP Software Testing products, namely QC and or QTP

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION
               IT SQB/ISEB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
               Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, Engineering or a related field

REQUIREMENTS
• High attention to detail
• Strong analytical, numeric and diagnostic skills
• Enthusiasm and positive attitude
• Previous Telecoms working experience (an advantage)
