willy2000:

To study History in Germany, you actually need German language and i doubt if your school of choice offers history in Nigeria and Africa. Unless you want to learn German and European history and come back to Nigeria to teach; which is logically unprofitable. So ask yourself and reflect on your decision before embarking on the journey.

If you want to come over, study and return, good. But if you plan to stay after your studies, bro History will do you no good.
thanks alot for the review, but as my inquiries tell some schools in German teach this course in English...and when it comes to history there are different histories to concentrate on,
History or contemporary polities and diplomacy
European history
History of the America North & south
Military or religions history
AFrica
It all depends on what the individual wants to do after the M.A. Germany is good but not everyone plans to stay.
For me, the course I intend on studying is really broad and concerns modern concept that are marketable.

M.A...Road to Democracies- Historical and contemporary perspective on politics and culture.

You can contact Magdeburg to issue you another admission letter. They are aware of delays while processing your visa. You don't need to start all over again.
thanks for the responses guys, The course I applied to at ovgu Magdeburg (MSC medical systems engineering) enrolls students once a year (Summer semester only).

My advice for you is to go with it to the embassy but keep it from Paulinus, because it isn't compulsory and when he sees that you have the photocopy and not original he might send you away. But if you say that you don't have, you won't have ish. Good luck
Thanks

Cause I applied for chemical and bioprocess engineering and they didn’t offer me admission. This is the mail I received from from them....
Dear..........
Thank you for your expression of interest in studying at the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH).
The requirements for admission to international Master’s degree programs are relatively stringent.
On the basis of your online preliminary assessment details we regret to say that if you were to apply you would not
gain admission to study because your Bachelor’s degree does not match the Master’s program which you are interested in.
We are very sorry that we are unable to sound a more promising note.

Hello Fam. Thanks to everyone here for being so tremendously helpful. Congratulations to all those who have successfully had their interviews and those who have received their AMs. I have my German students visa interview next week, and I just wanted to ask if the Motivational Letter can be handwritten. Mine is handwritten, so I need to know if I should have it typed since I still have time to do it. Thanks a lot guys.

Hi!

Sorry to bother y’all. I was just wondering if there was another way to get an appointment in the embassy ASAP. It seems all the appointments are gone for before April.

Thank you.
Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 4 by Raylee: 1:13pm On Feb 20, 2018
You can submit either of the two, there's no problem.

To be on the safest side, I will advise you go with a handwritten motivation letter.

Hope you wrote your motivation letter well as this is one of the major yardstick the embassy use.

Hmmm don't reli know much bout dis DAK health insurance although I opened a fintiba account but I dint sign up for their health insurance.

I went for my interview without a German Health Insurance, I was only asked by the embassy to submit a travel insurance for a period of 6 months and I was given a 6 months visa.

But I think you can go with it since it's a private health insurance from fintiba.

NOTE:

Embassy might still require you submit a travel insurance depending on the period within ur German Health Insurance covers.

Did your school recommend any health insurance for you? If not, DAK and AOK is better. But i think your Health insurance still covers Travel insurance.

Does your health insurance cover you for six months starting from your planned date of travel?
If not, you'll likely need a travel health insurance.

In any case you'll know for sure when your AM arrives. But for planning purposes assume you'll need a six months travel health insurance.

Thank you so much SenR for your kind help. I wrote it very carefully and after reading so many others from this website. (https://hubpages.com/travel/How-to-Write-Your-Statement-of-Purpose-For-German-Student-Visa)

I advice anyone who is yet to write theirs to visit the website as well. It's very helpful.
